Thanks for the heads up Marshal'ette This gives me another reason to write my Senator and tell him how I feel about people desecrating our proud flag. If I knew how I have a interesting e mail I got on why the flag is folded 13 times as I would love to share it with others here.

I noticed a larger number of students walked around the flags, slightly optimistic, but if there were 50-150 students that stood with that Veteran, instead of idly being sheeple. It may have had more effect on those socialist idiots.

I can not beleive what I just watched. I don't know if I could have restrained myself as well as that veteran, did my guess is NO, I would most likely have been hauled away by one of those officers . At least one student had the courage to say to hell with pier pressure and stand up for what was right.

All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used GOD's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think its high time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history.

To understand what the flag draped coffin really means....
Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.
Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?
Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!
The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.
The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.
The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world.
The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance
The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, 'Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.'
The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that They pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America , and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.
The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding them of their nations motto, 'In God We Trust.'
After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today.
There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why.

However, I would definitely like to meet with them at some point in time to share with them the definition of abject violence.
While this would not likely change their point of view, I would rationalize it as a therapeutic or "feel good" measure for myself. I agree ... good entertainment is at a premium these days.

What it boils down to is that these humps need the "spanking" that their shitforbrains parents never gave them. Keep in mind that when I say spanking, I don't mean something to go along with the fur-covered handcuffs and ball gags ... this "spanking" translates to full scale ass kicking.
Something like 90% of all assaults go unsolved ... hmmmm. Like the odds.

Only those who are ignorant to what sacrificing for your country means would do or allow such a thing in the name of "free speech". American warriors shed a tear when the ignorant desecrate the very symbol they have pledged their life to when it is trampled or burned or spit upon. Freedom is not free and there are some who will never understand the meaning of blood shed on a battlefield or the tear shed on a field of stars surrounded by blue supported by stripes of red and white.

When I think that Americans struggled, while mortally wounded, to prevent this symbol of our country from even touching the ground during wars fought to protect the 1A and all of our rights, I am enraged.
I don't know whether to be grateful that I am not there or furious that I am not.\
I know it's just a symbol...but it isn't what is happening to the symbol that angers me, but rather, the disrespect show to all those who fought and died to defend what that symbol stands for.

I know this much, I would not contribute a dime to such an institution. If I were on the board of regents I would jerk their accreditation. Do you think they would allow a conservative to demonstrate?

I have never served in the military, however, my grandfather and many of my friends have. Maybe this influences my opinion to some degree, but I would hope that even without having close connections to those who have served, I would have more sense than to degrade our flag and those who have fought to protected it. Of course when viewing the video, you can't help but notice, the jackasses making a show of standing on the flag (except for their ignorant, liberal professors), are the same kids that make you grit your teeth as you pass them in the mall. Arrogant little pukes that dress for shock value and cry about being individuals. (Although they all look alike!) Kind of ironic that they would desecrate the symbol of the country that allows them that "individuality". ??? ::) >:(

I have 4 spiral journals, and disk's for my son, 13 years old, only child, and now that he's a little older, I am blessed everytime he reminds me of something I told him while he was growing up, He knows who Col. Jeff Cooper is, Massad Ayoob, Gen. Patton, "Teddy" Roosevelt, etc,... and will call you on violating any cardinal rule of firearms safety. (Better shot every damn year), I suspect with his eyes, he'll out shoot me with my own pistols here shortly. Of course its my full size 1911 he likes best. 8)
He's undecided on his career when he "grows up" but is considering an engineering endeavor, or a fighter pilot. (He flies those flight simulator combat games better than me, shoots my ass down before I can even see em')
Sorry for the ramble, the point is to the original post of the flag. For those that are ignorant or oblivious to what our flag stands for, there will ALWAYS be some like the Veteran in the video, and my son, that will call BS when they see a travesty to our true heritage as Americans. I fly a flag every day and bring it in at night, 4th of July is next week.......
I apologize again for the rant, this video just kinda rubbed me the wrong way all weekend.

I havent had a chance to read everyones replies on here, this is the first thread I opened up and looked at this morning and after seeing this video I wanted to post while emotion is still strong. So let me say that all the replies I did read were very nice. (most on page 4)
I sit here with a tear on my cheek, I am someone deeply effected by this video as I am sure many of you are. For those of you that I have had a chance to get to know on here, know that I have been through alot and I am not that good at emotion. But something about this had sparked somthing deep inside me.
That woman (if you can call her that) with the short hair, is all that is wrong with America. She stands there like she is important and believes she is strong and doing the right thing, by disgracing someone that has done more in 5 min period for me and you, than that woman will ever do for us in her life. She stands there as this man shows the heart and soul of America and what we once were as a nation, and tells him she will have someone remove him from the premises thinking she is doing the right thing. She stands there with her hands folded and bids someone else to her dirty work. This image\video should be shown around the US to show what is wrong with America. You have one person who will stand up and fight for his rights and protect all whom he can (Action). And then you have him surrounded by people with hands folded saying something.(Words).
She is like so many people here in Washington State. That is why it hurts so bad. Cause I know exactly how that vet feels with her in front of him.
This man has bled and probably lost many friends in honor of this flag that he so rightly tries to protect. Yet some kid who has no idea what sacrifce even means stands on it with some stupid sign taped to his back. I wish that kid knew what that man represents and respected him. But he doesnt and I dont know how to help fix that. I am so sad that I cant even use words to describe the feelings I have. Why didnt that kids parents teach him or why hasnt a teacher influenced him? But then you look and see his teacher mocking the same man and I get so angry.
Sorry that last paragraph there is very uninteligent but I cant tell you how upset I am at that kid, and the problem is there is so many kids that I went to school with that would have done the same thing, the difference is I would be in the video punching the crap out of him.

You always say your not very good at communicating but I got to tell ya you usually hammer that nail prettty darn well.
One good point to this film was the one young man that came over, shook hands and stood shoulder to shoulder with the vet. The cop didn't seem to be jumping at the chance to remove any one either.

Right on brother, no one tramples our flag while I am there. I did not get to see the video, no longer available. Too many good people have died defending our country and way of life. Our flag is the symbol of our country.
I continue to have lively conversations with liberals over this issue. They contend that it is a 1st Amendment issue that allows them that right. Sorry, does not wash. It is always the ones that do not put their butts on the line that come up with stupidity like that.

An ass whooping would be protected under the First amendment as a form of expression, It would not be PREVENTING them from expressing their stupidity in this assinine manner, Not depriving them of life (just some teeth) not depriving them of liberty (unless you hold them up when they want to fall down)Not even preventing them from PURSUEING happiness (it's just harder to catch with those casts)
All in all, probably a $100 fine 1 week in jail suspended and an admonishment to go forth and sin no more, at least not in that county ;D

Emotional trigger. They need to be re-educated so that they will be able to define “good vs. evil”.
People like this need to see (and possibly feel) abject evil and figure out a method to overcome such evil without the help in any way shape or form of that mere “symbol of cloth” that they are stepping on. Would be an interesting experiment in behavior modification.
What somewhat galls me (especially from this video) is the combination of dedicated arrogance and lack of testicular fortitude that many (but not all) have in the academic world. They can sit comfortably in a chair and get a couple of degrees and think … check that … “know” they have the answers to the world’s problems. Today, a glaring example of this is in Barack Hussein Obama. He truly defines intellectual elitism and the entitlement that comes with it.
Back to point. When “discussing” issues with such people, see if they can argue the counter vs. their position. See if they know WTF they are talking about OR if they have a prescribed point of view from their well educated blinders.
After saying this, I still would like to taser the sonofabitch for a couple days.
