Gun ownership in U.S.? It's automatic

It was a classic case of an activist judiciary in action.
But it was activism for gun owners, which means that the recent Supreme Court decision finding Washington, D.C's, 30-year-old handgun ban in violation of the Second Amendment was actually a fine example of democracy in action.
But that's neither here nor there.
There are, by the way, 30,000 gun deaths in America each year, which might make America more dangerous than Iraq. And handguns happen to be the most lethal of all weapons in terms of murder, injury and suicide. Still, this is the weapons class to which the court granted the strongest legal protection.
But seriously, folks. Isn't this all just a little bit theatrical? C'mon, we know who we are. We're the country with 230 million firearms. And the tiniest Google search pretty much confirms that we have been so far out of hand on this issue for so long that nothing short of a military occupation could stop it. And seeing how well a military occupation has worked in Iraq, I doubt that that would work either.
what we are is an insane society that will tolerate 30,000 shot-up citizens a year in the name of, I don't know, the right to freely assemble firearms and to bear them wherever the heck we please.
Yeah. It sounds nuts.

That's right, the criminals, which could care less about any silly court ruling, will carry their guns anyway. Oh, that means we have to be more sheep like and give in to those troubled individuals from a broken home, with "issues" of violence. They will realize our weakness and just steal our possessions and leave us in peace.
After all its George Bush's fault anyway.(sarcasm heavy at this point)

Hoplophobe, hoplophobic.
Hoplophobes are common and should never be involved in setting gun policies. Point out hoplophobic behavior when noticed, it is dangerous, sufferers deserve pity, and should seek treatment. When confronted about their condition, hoplophobes typically go into denial, a common characteristic of the affliction. Sometimes helped by training, or by coaching at a range, a process known to psychiatry as "desensitization," a useful methodology in treating many phobias.
Hoplophobic behavior is often obvious from self-evident irrational responses to real-life situations, and is frequently seen in the news media and public debate. When a criminal commits a crime using a gun, hoplophobes often seek to disarm, or make lists of, innocent people who didn't do anything, an irrational suggestion
The sad part is he has people that agree with his idiocy.
