It may not be a real "tactical rifle" but I thought this was the most appropriate place to post it.
Well, I tricked out the old 10/22 with a Butler Creek Stock and a red dot. I like it!

VERY NICE!
Question...Is the BC stock the same size as original Ruger stock or is it heftier like the Hogue overmolded stock?
-
I have seen several conversion kits for the 10/22. I have also been scouring pawn and gun shops with the hope of finding a slighty used one to throw in to a conversion stock. I think I am just going to have to bite the bullet and get a new one. Looks fun (and inexpensive).

Looks good Gunman! Love that folding stock. Consider a lever style extended mag release. With the pistol grip stock you wont have to shift your grip to drop a mag ;)

I "bit the bullet" and bought a new black and stainless version, put on a variable scope, and have a ball with it...
BUT, I too want to "find" a slightly used one and throw the full monty conversion package on it.
Nice setup gunman, if barack gets elected, its on the ban list too. :P

Sweet conversion. I can't wait to start modifying mine.

It is actually smaller than the original stock. It is also quite a bit lighter. It really changes the way the gun handles so much. I put off buying one for years, but figured I better go ahead in case Obama gets in.

Mine has flash hider/compensator, but otherwise looks just like that. I plan on putting a bayonet lug on it some day, not because I need one, but because it's not politically correct. :)

Not heads unite. VERY NICE.

OK, I had to show this. Crappy picture, but this is a stock for a 10/22 to let the wee laddie think it is a big, nasty, MG-42. I love this, may have to get one.
And I did get my 10/22 from a pawnshop.

Now you need a "Beta" style mag for it ;D

I'm thinking I need one of these too. Time to find another used 10/22. This time last year I didn't own one...now I have two and this add-on may well cause me to have a third..... Now if the ATF would just send that tax stamp I could go get that AAC Cloak sitting at the Class III dealer and put it on the 2nd one........................

Nice build Gunman. My brother and I had fun transforming the 10/22 for my nieces. I apologize for the phone cam picture quality but here it is with my new AR. Tapco fusion stock, generic vertical forward grip, and BSA red dot from Wally World.
