Title: Another decent man,. Tony Snow RIP

Saw the report of Tony Snow's death from a terrible disease. I followed his WH press briefings, his radio shows and how he had the professional wit and intellect to smack down the likes of Bill Maher, and David Gregory, and the fossil Helen Thomas.

The WH Press Sec. pays 168,000 dollars a year to get hammered by idiots in the public eye day after day.  Tony Snow never complained, always smiled and called it like he saw it. He was a pro, and I would have loved to have had the chance to see him on this forum to "kick around" some issues.

I saw that he had passed away over the weekend.  He was a unique person in the Washington Press corps.  The world was better having the privilege of his presence and now lacks with his absence.

A number of commentators have articles about him worth reading.   
Jewish World Review (http://www.jewishworldreview.com (http://www.jewishworldreview.com)) on Monday ran two of his best articles about fighting disease and hardship.   A real class act.

I could not agree more with what I have read about him.
"Tony Snow was an extraordinarily decent human being"

I have always admired the man, it's sad to hear he's gone.
