Know the feeling. Nothing worse than having something in or around your ass that ain't supposed to be there!
I had a big ass bumble bee do the same thing once. I was riding my motorcycle and he hit the back of my shirt collar. Crawled down my back and was about to "hole up" (pun intended) in my butt crack. Luckily, I was on my way home and only a couple of blocks away when this happened. Got the kickstand down on my Harley and waddled at mach 1 into the house to take my boots and pants off. My wife still laughs about me dropping my pants and that hairy bee falling out.

I was shooting a match a month or so ago...I was shooting around a barrel and some hot brass bounced off and got stuck between my safety glasses and my face. I still have a mark.
-
I was in the firing squad at a funeral. Had one go down the back of my shirt. Just stood there.

THAT IS SELF DISCIPLINE !
When I was at Parris Island We had to wear our helmets at the range, with the strap FASTENED. A left handed shooter in my Platoon had a casing get caught between his helmet strap and his cheek. He wound up with a scar that looked like a German dueling scar.

OK, based on clothing, full auto and what appears to be a pintle mounts, I'm guessing these guys are "professionals"? The mope with the hot brass never took his finger off the trigger so a fellow shooter grabbed the gun away from him. Lame ass.
How many tax dollars spent on training this mope and he can't handle a little hot brass for a few seconds?
Reminds me of that DEA "professional" that shot himself in the foot in the classroom.
-
I've had a hot .45 auto case bounce off my hat brim and somehow get under my safety glasses The case lay there between my glasses and the hollow under my eye. Ouch.

Been there done that.
I have a brass scar under one eye and two skin cancer scars under the other. I saw the junks they cut out of my hide, and it is no where near the scar the brass left!

A great friend of mine, Lady, was at the 1983 IPSC nationals, and got a hot .45 case in exactly the scenario, Squibby depicts,, I was not there, but according to her, everyone enjoyed the show.

they are not the only thing that is... btw did you see my other thread?
They are not coastys, They seem to be out of uniform, several things diffrent between them( belts stands out big time.)
I can't place the camo either. If they are us miltary( whiich I'm really doubting, or even if they are miltary) the only 2 I know that wear tan boots are the marines and the army( out side of operators )

Now that you point out the belts, Marines where tan belts, I'm thinking operators, Because of the black ball cap, and odd LBE (?) on the guy who takes the weapon.
-
see thats whats making me think they are not miltary( atleast not proper) The weapons and the stantances don't say operator to me... Even if they were. I can't see captain/XO, letting people on his ship being that out of uniform, even if he was not in direct comand of them. I also can't see a weapons officer not wearing ears.
Then again maybe they are in the airforce :P ... the stuff I saw them get away with on duty would have put my butt in a sling.
I tend to pick up on small things... ps unless you really want to know the truth, never ask me how something looks. Its a curse, I can't go anywhere with out picking up on things that were done wrong/ illegal (ada)/ poorly.

Once 6 of us decided that it was time to take a break from the large bore stuff and out came the .22's and about 5 bricks of ammo, did you know that if you hold the weapon jusssst right you can pelt the guy next to you ;D
-
I can tell you that if you hold a P3AT at belt hieght the brass WILL smack you right in the face!

Open slides, like on Barretta STINK ! They seem to deposit the brass right on top of your head :(

This thread would be a lot more entertaining if there were pictures. ;)
I was wondering if these guys were American. Couldn’t tell from the audio but I don’t think they were military. Possibly LE (?).

Those ARE US Navy personnel. Navy Visit Board Search Seizure (VBSS) guys are ship's crew that get sent to suspect ships to look for contraband, usually augemented by Coasties. The schools are down in San Diego and Cheasapeak VA and isn't that long. Pretty basic stuff really; weapons handling/quals for M-16, M-9, and shotgun, searching and clearing a vessel, and such. They are wearing standard desert cammies, issue black belts, and assualt vests.

I did some looking into that... seems like they are coasty wanbes with less power and bigger boats. Still for there to be that many diffrences between the unis of them somethening is not right... then again its the navy, they are not know for thier discipline.

The Navy has been doing VBSS since before the Coast Gaurd was even formed, try 1776. They have the same power as the CG downrange but had CG members until a few years ago becuase the Navy wasn't typically in the Search/LE mode. Now that the school is set up they are pulling back the CG presence.
As for the uniforms, the desert cammies are organizational clothing so you get issued it by your command and it usually doesn't include the belt so the black ones are the issued one for the normal uniform, the others are probably personally bought.
I'll leave alone the discipline comment but say that they wouldn't be like that on MY range.
