Title: Warhawke news
Post by: warhawke on July 24, 2008, 01:53:29 AM
I haven't been around much for a while (I've lurked in some but not posted) and I figured some of you might want an update.

Last month I left my wife and moved out of my house (which the bank is taking anyway). I have put in my notice with my current employer and I will be moving to Missoula Montana come the end of August.

Frankly I consider these events to be for the good. I have been contemplating a move to the west (or at least the heck out of MI) for some time. I look forward to building a new life for myself and I hope to be able to spend more time here and at some of the other sites I visit on the web. I do expect that my computer time will be limited for some time to come even after the move as I plan to bust my hump getting myself established in my new home.

Warhawke,
Sorry about the divorce, but Montana will be a good place to start over.
Nothing like the BIG SKY COUNTRY to make things right!! ;D

Tough times...good luck in turning over your new leaf. Just watch where you step out there...I hear there are all kinds of cows and sheep and stuff just roaming around.

Warhawke, went through the same thing some years back, moved to ND from the Chicago region. Condolences, it ain't easy and everything may seem a bit upside down for a while, but you are getting your life back on track. Trust me, this can be a good first step.

If you find yourself driving through Fargo on I-94, stop by and I'll take you to the range or down for a beer. If you're interested, PM me and I'll get you my phone number.

Hang in there buddy, and don't let this get you down. Just watch out for the wolves in winter in Missoula!!

Sorry to hear that your life is taking that turn. From experience I will give you a piece of advice. No matter how broke the situation leaves you, DO NOT SELL YOUR GUNS. chances are you will never be able to replace them.
Hope it works out for you.

Only by the grace of God I can say I haven't been in your situation, so I can't give you any wise advice.  However, I wish you the best and look forward to updates!

Good to hear from you, despite the domestic conflict. Sounds like you handled it sanely. Man! Have their been some topics regarding history, war and politics (redundant, I know) that would have benefited from your input!! Get up and runnin' soon and share your exploits out West. Good luck.

Mac.

Shucks Warhawke, that will make us practically neighbors, although I do send my condolences for the circumstances.  We have missed you around here.  You are always welcome to head on over to our place if need be.  We are just over 2 hours away from Missoula in some pretty country.  I can't deliver on the sheep, but we have goats.. :) :) :)

We have an Appleseed in the end of September if you can make it, and I am the sponsor.. :)

Warhawke...
To know that you consider us here in Down Range close enough to share some of your personal life with, is something that I don't take lightly. I am honored to be a part of that. Divorce is never easy ..I don't care if you are the one who wants it.
Having been where you are at (more times than one and less times than 5  ;D ).. I can tell you that all endings have their sad times but they also open up new beginnings. It is all in how you approach it whether in a negative way or a positive way. Embrace every new thing as an adventure ..for within each one is a learning experience that you need on your spiritual path on this earth-time.  Sounds like you are on your way to a beautiful open state. If Montana could talk..the stories you would hear. I'm sure you will be feeling  at home there before you know it.
Enjoy your new life that you will build for yourself.. Keep smiling and no matter if there are good days or bad days, you know that you have many friends who truly DO care about you. So keep us up to date on "you" and your moving progress.

It is to bad about the situation that you have to leave but  being from MI myself its a good thing that you can get out of this crummy state with its Canadian Governor, Best of luck and happy trails. Montana WOW what a place!

Warhawke I've been where you are.  Didn't move so far but moved just the same.  All sorts of thoughts went thru my mind and didn't have the great folks on the forum to discuss them with.  Just remember, take time to check in and fill your head with Gun Stuff and let the other go for a while.  I started shooting after my divorce and it really helps to take my mind off worries (works for health issues too)!

Good luck and God Bless,

Richard
