Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats adjourned the House and turned off the lights and killed the microphones, but Republicans are still on the floor talking gas prices.
Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) and other GOP leaders opposed the motion to adjourn the House, arguing that Pelosi’s refusal to schedule a vote allowing offshore drilling is hurting the American economy. They have refused to leave the floor after the adjournment motion passed at 11:23 a.m. and are busy bashing Pelosi and her fellow Democrats for leaving town for the August recess…
“This is the people’s House,” Rep, Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) said. “This is not Pelosi’s politiburo.”
Democratic aides were furious at the GOP stunt, and reporters were kicked out of the Speaker’s Lobby, the space next to the House floor where they normally interview lawmakers.
The “most open and ethical House ever” went dark– and C-SPAN and every other media outlet were powerless to broadcast the proceedings of the GOP revolt–because Nancy Pelosi and the Dems didn’t want the public to see and hear the voices of GOP lawmakers on the House floor talking about their energy proposals.

Yeah, like she is the 1st one ever to do that... Oh wait.... every speaker of the house I can remember has done it at one time or another.

Perhaps. I don't remember Newt Gingrich or Denny Hastert ever doing this, or anyone else for that matter. As requested of you many times by others, TAB, specific examples would have helped. Even one would have been helpful - and a change.
Let's look at one specific example from the House.
Currently, the House (run by the Dems) continues to conduct "criminal" investigations over the firing of 9 US Attorneys across the US by Pres. Bush, all or many of them Clinton appointees.
Sixteen years ago or so, the then President (BJ Clinton) dismissed every one of the US Attorneys - every one of them. And all of them being Reagan appointees. The House, being the good watchdogs of justice that they are (and also at that time controlled by the Dems) did nothing.
So perhaps things like this happen all of the time. It just seems to be more noticeable when the Dems are in charge.
As one wag recently put it, the Dems don't care if the Titanic is going down so long as they are at the helm.

It's funny how dems are always talking about protecting the peoples rights, but ALWAYS doing whatever they can to restrict those rights. Sounds alot like National Socalism doesn't it.

List some SPECIFIC examples to back up your allegations. Without specific examples your statement lacks credibility.

Newt, did it in the mid- late 90s over something, Its been a long time. They have all kicked out the press at one point or another. They are just a bunch of teenagers anyways. You can use google can't you.

Why should we ? YOU are the one making unsubstantiated claims. Back them up with FACTUAL information like the rest of us do, or else specify that it is your unproven opinion.

I do remember the Pelosi monster when she became SOTH, made the famous "Integrity and Civility Back to the chamber speech"
Typical politician these days. Say whatever it takes to get in, and do whatever you want once in. Which in this case is NOTHING!
