While watching a bit about the off duty Border Patrol agent who was shot and killed by two illegal aliens who both had multiple deportations and returned.
It came to me that we need an Amnesty program for Illegal Aliens.
Step 1. Make it a capital offense to be in the US illegally with a mandatory death sentence. Anyone aiding or abetting an illegal alien is subject to the same law. No appeals. If you are not a in the country legally, the verdict is mandatory.
Step 2. Offer Amnesty to any aliens illegally in the US when they voluntarily surrender themselves for deportation as long as they have no outstanding warrants for felonies.
We can look to see if Immigration Reform is required and begin studying that issue as soon as as the Amnesty period has expired.
Any changes needed?

I assume your 'amnesty' in step two is the 'amnesty' of staying alive to be deported. Correct?

Here's my idea.
1 No bennies for illegal
2 If you employ illegals you get $25,000/ per and 6 months in maximum security prison PER Illegal to run consecutively
3 Any city, or state that proclaims itself a "sanctuary" loses all federal funding and contracts until they comply with federal law, also, leadership of the political administration, (mayor, or Gov, as appropriate) get 5 years in maximum security prison.
4 Illegals who leave on their own can take their possessions if arrested for deportations all assets are forfeited and divided between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies involved.
5 Deportation is across nearest border, regardless of country of origin. If you're from Mexico and arrested in Chicago, you better like hockey.
6 a marked "Frontier" zone becomes the responsibility of the Army any one crossing the zone can be shot without warning.

Correct. Miss the amnesty deadline and, for you, deadline and hemp become synonymous.

Maybe we should play good neighbor and let the illegal pick which border. Then Canada/Mexico can blame them and not us?

I would be sure to include the weekend project crowd that hires illegals in front of Home Depot as employers. If they got no benefits from government and no jobs they might straighten out the mess in their homelands.

Go after those hiring thwm and they will go away.I always had a rider on my contracts, no smoking, booze or drug, every one speaks English and no illegals on my job sites. Do any of those things and Iwull terminate your contract on the spot and remove you from my job site. Does not happen often, but when it did it always hit the fan.
