Funny you should say that.... I'm filling it out, checking the box that I agree to take possession on 9/8 or whatever, thinking, "They'll never give it to someone from NJ". I'd barely have a pistol permit turned in by then.
I guess I could go POSE with the thing and pretend. Then maybe a month or so later I could actually take possession.

That's not a problem here, yet!

I can buy every darn handgun in the store if the NICS system doesn't die doing the paperwork.  The one gun a month bill got shot down recently here...  Actually, what I understand is that we were successful on killing a bunch of the BS in the most recent gun bill on Beacon Hill..

I won't win, I'm mostly Irish...our luck is just a myth...  If someone from this forum wins that will be a win for all of us!

Just got an email advertisement from Ruger, it looks like the giveaway was a Scout rifle now in 5.56.  I think I would still rather have the .308.

So it's a Ruger version of the Mossberg MVP Patrol, except magazines cost a heck of a lot more.

Okay then. Glad they're making a left hand version, and I'd be intrigued if it used Mini-14 mags, fascinated if it used AR mags. As it is, it's a good idea, just not for me.
