Title: CNN at it again.
Post by: Ulmus on December 01, 2014, 07:13:51 PM
Looks  like CNN is still burned about the recent election and is throwing a tantrum aimed at lawful gun owners.

http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2014/12/us/cnn-guns-project/?hpt=hp_c2 (http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2014/12/us/cnn-guns-project/?hpt=hp_c2)

They try to claim "fair and balanced/looking at both sides" with "the lives they save" line,  but notice how they don't have a single page on the main screen talking about the people who used firearms to protect themselves and/or the ones they love.  (All they gotta do is download the app: True stories of self defense" or look at the NRA website.  )

I'd love to see an avalanche of comments by gun owners telling the majority side and, even better, a hack into the site adding one or two truthful pro gun pages into the main page.  (Imagine a counter point post next to every biased post they have up.)  No.  I am not recommending anyone hack the site.  Just wishful thinking here.

To bad FOX won't jump in and take the other side.   :(  I'd like to see that.

To be fair - the opinion pieces are not all that bad - in fact the worst one suggests only Universal Background Checks (UBCs).  The rest are actually, to varying degrees, pro-gun rights.

UBC's maybe one of the worst things to come out short of an outright ban.

Depending upon how the law is written, by feds or states, you might be in violation if the guy at the next shooter station is allowed to hold your latest purchase.

Think of  how many folks will be behind bars for illegal transfer of a firearm if that situation is a setup.

You could be in violation teaching your child how to dry fire one of your weapons  or how to clean it.

At gun shows, you will have to fill out the forms and get the check before you can touch the GUN you are interested in.

OOOPS

"Universal background checks" are nothing but another name for registration.
Regigistration ALWAYS leads to confiscation, ask SKS owners in Ca. or AR and AK owners in Conn.
"Shall not be infringed" means just that .
No compromise, EVER.
