I let it slip by.  BUT, did everyone notice Navy's helmets and uniform at the Navy/Army game?   (Given how Navy has dominated they get top billing now.)   It was based on the first Navy Jack which like the Gadsden flag feature a snake and "Don't Tread on Me".     

Gutsy sports department and commandant at the Naval Academy.

They also used it in a shoulder patch on the players uniforms. Sharp looking design.
