I've been looking for one for a while and had it in my hand yesterday! For those that don't know, Colt 1911s have to pre 1996 to be sold here.
Problem was the consignor wanted too much at $950.00!
I've got the cash but....
Damn....

Older Colt LW Commanders are like hens teeth and unicorn poop around here. I know folks who would jump at that price if it was in good condition.
As an aside, I know their are some really silly laws up in your region, but why specifically pre-'96 on a 1911?
-
Because of the reaffirmation on the Clinton gun control act by Bacon Hill legislature during the Romney years!
I meant 1994 not 96..

And...it was real clean and seldom fired... Just can't justify it right now.

With scarcity, prices rise.
I'd seriously consider a different state.

I tried 25 years ago but she hated tornado alley and missed her family! She'll never leave again...
