Title: Come On Up To Minnesota
Post by: MikeBjerum on March 21, 2015, 09:30:35 PM
Not techie enough to import the actual poster, so here is a copy paste version:

MN Permit to Carry

www.GAHMinnesota.com
SATURDAY   APR 18th
MADELIA, Minnesota
$65 (Minnesota, Florida, & Range included)
Register with Mike Bjerum:

Mike Bjerum, Instructor
GAH Minnesota/Safety Training   Minnesota CCW Certification

Two visits with the attorney behind me, lots of paperwork started, and counting the pennies in the jar for filing and license and permit fees to replace the "GAH ..." with my own, and then I take the next big plunge.

Thanks Solus!

I have the easy stuff done.  Now it is the governmental red tape of setting up the LLC with the Secretary of State, and getting approval from BCA (Bureau Of Criminal Apprehension).  And, of course, paying for it all.

As of right now I am working as an instructor under another trainer.  It works, but I need to be able to not be tied to someone's program and plan.

My PTC doesn't need to be renewed until next year.  Will you be having any classes in the cities?  I see it's just MN and FL.  Will you be doing UT in the future as well?

My plan is to offer the class in any area that there is a demand for my personality and approach.  GAH, the group I am under at this time, is based out of the Cities.  My intent is to go to Utah and get their certification as soon as I am set up on my own.

By the way, Florida is a very easy permit.  When I got my first one from them I did it with my Minnesota permit.  I did not renew, because the only advantage of having Florida was to go to Florida.  Next time I visit Hazcat I will update, but right now I don't have it.

I got my MN and UT because it gave me something like 34 or 35 states.  Also, ND doesn't recognize MN, but they recognize UT.  Go figure.

I didn't bother getting the Florida because that's the only state I'd pick up and I didn't see myself visiting there.  Only a year to go until my permit's up and a trip to FL isn't on the radar.

I'll check back with you when my permit comes up for renewal and see if you're having any classes around here.

Ohio's resident license is now recognized in 36 states.  Not to bad

Now I CAN "Come on up to Minnesota", since I got my Utah Permit.

Of course, about 3 years ago, the Minnesota Governor vetoed a bill that would have Minnesota honor every other state's resident permits.  One more reason I'll never spend a dime at Dayton's or Target.

Hey Dayton, thanks for nothing, you commie-lib rat bastard!

Next time you here the Democrats ranting about the "wealthy" and the "1%ers", if you look in the dictionary under "Trust Baby" you will see Gov. Mark Dayton's picture.  Yes, he is from that Dayton family:  Dayton's department stores and Target.  Multimillion dollar income from trust accounts held mostly in South Dakota, where there is no income tax, and transferred with limited tax to Mr. Dayton.

Back on task:

Be Safe, LLC is now registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State, and I am neck deep in paperwork for the next two steps  ;D
