I have a S&W Bodyguard .38 on its way and was curious if anyone had any practical suggestions for particular ammo choices for it. Looking at .38 standard pressure Hornady Critical Defense 110gr and Winchester W Defend 130 gr.
Also curious any holsters pocket or ankle that work well since it seems a bit harder to find holsters for it versus the LCR or 642. I want a holster that would be easy to hide in business casual for a bigger guy in a non-permissive environment.
Thanks!

not exactly answering your question, but I've been looking at .380 defense ammo since I switched to the G42.... in the internet videos I've seen, the older style Hornady XTP bullet had better penetration after 4 layers of denim than the newer FTX bullet...

I have a Kramer ankle rig that I use for my S&W 342PD.it so comfortable I sometimes don't realize I have it on.

I had an ankle carry for my LCP, but never, ever did I forget I had it on. It's like having an ankle exercise weight. Always felt my gait was lopsided. Don't think I'll do that with the Shield nor the Mod 60. I'll stick with waist line holsters.

Another thing about ankle carry is that you will NOT be able to draw easily or discreetly.
With waist band or pocket carry you can place your hand on or near your pistol in a sketchy situation with out being obvious. Can't do that with ankle carry.
