....good. Another poke in Nanny State's eye.
-
after much sausage making and delaying tactics the bill is about to be on Gov.Abbotts desk. The law will take effect 1.1.16
-
Damn dude. Us Yankee's in NH, the ones you keep accusing of being so anti gun, have always had open carry.
-
Weird ain't it? along with this bill there's also one negating the law that we aren't allowed to carry Bowie knives.......in effin' TEXAS!
-
Is it true that you need a PERMIT for open carry ?
What's the point ?
IIRC even Mass allows open carry, NH hasn't regulated knives for the last 5 years or so, switch blades, machete's what ever, it's all good.
Live free or die Bic ! ;D

It is true. There was a push for 'Constitutional Carry' but it got nowhere...maybe if we're all good little boys & girls and blood doesn't flow too deeply down the streets on starting Jan. 1st that may be reconsidered in the next session, but as the legislature is in bright blue Austin I'm not going to hold my breath.
-
I was surprised to learn this too that Texas didn't already have open carry like a lot of us Yanks up North.
-
Yeah, between the 30-06 law and open carry, Texas actually pretty much sucks on gun laws compared to Maine, NH, and Vermont.
-
Had to google the 30-06 law. Here I thought it was something about the rifle caliber but man, was crock of crap that is!
-
When CC was passed in Ohio a few years ago, the original bill had several onerous provisions but many have been removed over the years.
A poor bill is a good place to start. Just have to keep holding the legislatures feet to the fire with every election.
-
Brushmore, that's why I get pissed when dumbasses rant about the damn liberal New Englander's.
The ones running their pie holes would usually kill to have our gun laws.
Like all this crap about Florida, Marion Hammer and the fight for concealed carry, NH had cc longer than I've been alive, (Before 1960) and they have never regulated open carry. Castle doctrine ? Stand your ground ? Only had those for about 200 years. Maine's the same way, Vermont doesn't have ANY gun laws, ( which kind of bites them in the ass since there is no provision for a permit that other states could reciprocate)
Kind of interesting when you think about it, the Socialist?Liberal state that gave you Bernie Sanders was also the first to have "Constitutional carry".

I really like the 30.06 law. it allows biz owners to prevent things they don't want in their biz.
and btw I am ok with the no black signs. I think it should be the owners right. I don't see a difference between some ones home and place of biz.

This is the sort of bullshit we get from Austin.....Acevedo btw is the Chief of Police there, and a gun hater.

Did I mention that NH is a Shall Issue state ?
They 14 days to process your application (which wouldn't fill 1 page if they didn't use large type)
-
The NH non resident ain't much different, Tom! Just 10x the price! ;)
-
Only reason people OC in NH is if they are to cheap to pay the $10.
($100 for outsiders)
