Well, if you have an awesome husband like I do, you get sapphires!!!
A Kimber solo to go with my ultra ll, and a little bling... Now if I can find the micro sapphire, I'd really be lovin' life!

Yesterday was our 21st anniversary and my wife got me a RCBS reloading kit. Her only request was that I don't blow up the house!

Nice, Red.....happy anniversary!!!

I'm jealous. I don't remember getting anything for any of my anniversaries.

One thing we did when we first got married, was agree to not exchange any gifts, flowers, or cards on ANY holidays. Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, Valentines Day, none of them. Then, when either of us saw a big ticket item we wanted, we would just go and get it.
It's really worked out well, and has saved us thousands of dollars on useless "gifts" over the years. Not to mention all the money wasted on flowers and cards for each occasion. I can't put and exact number on it, but it has to be in the tens of thousands of dollars in the almost 32 years we've been married. You also have to factor in all the time and gas running around to stores not knowing what to buy. With just the 4 days I mentioned X 2 = 8 gifts a year. Add that up over 32 years and it's a small fortune. We end up with what both of us want, only when we really want it, instead of being "surprised" by a bunch of crap that neither of us did. I know some women would never go for that, but it sure has worked well for us. Naturally, we don't have kids. If you do you cannot ignore holidays.

First off, congrats Red!
Secondly, were coming up on number 30! I got everything I needed on our wedding day.....no need for anniversary gifts for me every year. Sure, there have been a few rough spots but that is to be expected but it has been a wonderful 30. Now that our son is married to a wonderful woman with 4 kids and they have had two of their own, being a Grandpa and Grandma makes it even better. Norma comments about making it to 50! Twenty years only makes me 88 and her ? so I'm thinkin' it's doable!

From Kimber's page on the Solo:
USE ONLY RECOMMENDED AMMUNITION
Solo is designed to function optimally using premium hollow-point self-defense factory ammunition with bullet weights of 124 or 147 grains.
EXAMPLES INCLUDE:
• Federal® Hydra-Shok® JHP
• Remington® Golden Saber™ HPJ
• Hornady TAP® JHP
While other ammunition may perform well, lighter bullets and inconsistent pressures that can be found in lower-quality ammunition may lead to decreased slide cycle time and compromise function.

Sorry to hear that TAB

That's never easy, TAB.
My "Papa" died in 1978 and I often think about things we did together over 60 years ago.
Take care.
