Title: “It’s like golf, only louder,” Creighton noted.
Post by: alfsauve on August 01, 2015, 08:51:59 AM
So just perusing my Forbes magazine, you know keepin' up on all my mega-investments and huge deals, ;)  when I came across a really nice piece on The Alamo Range in Naples, FL.

And our own Kevin Creighton was interviewed for this piece.

Among his quotes:

Quote
Think: the Apple store — with bullets. For Gun Owners 2.0

And of course the closing quote the reporter used in the article.

Quote
It’s like golf, only louder

Is there any connection between this article and Kevin's recent unemployment?

Something I've noticed is that unlike news media, with financial news sites the politics of the owner have little editorial effect. Even the way Bloomberg is, wanting to regulate everything from guns to soda, his financial report seems to be pretty unbiased.
I think it's because the need for accuracy in industry news over rides the desire to "spin".
If your wrong all the time no one is going to read your report no matter how much they may agree with your slant.
That being said, I always thought Steve Forbes was fairly conservative, so I would be surprised if the writer got canned for writing an honest article about guns.
"Likegolf only louder" is a good line we can use in renormalizing sport shooting

Sorry, I've not been a good forum member as of late.

No, there was no connection between the article and my layoff. I did that interview a month or so before I was let go.

That's not to say there weren't other hinckey things going on with my not working there anymore, but what's done is done.
