I know there is a knife forum but looks like it has been use much in the last 6 months. Kid got me a Work Sharp for Christmas this year and I have been teaching myself along with You-Tube on using it.
I have got an insane edge on my Glock field knife, K-Bar and a cheap Bayonet for my A.R.
Now all I need is some band aids. 8)

Incredible looking device, for the cost glad it works so well. For the rest of you, here's a link:

For about 85% less, this is one I use to sharpen my EDC - a Kershaw 1550 Ken Onion:

Glad it works for you. Not having much luck with it myself.

Careful you'll get hooked on knife sharpening. My youngest son begged for a knife sharpening supplies for his High School Graduation. He scares me.....anyway, he spec'd out a couple of things from https://dmtsharp.com/ (https://dmtsharp.com/) for his graduation gift.
I would like to have one of those like you have though. Someday...after youngest son is out of college and the house I'll need one....

I picked one up at the Blade show last year. I'm not bonkers over it but it is the best I have so far.

Every head of household, regardless of bender, needs to low how to sharpen a knife.
Either that or be happy with living out of boxes and cans.

Call me old school, but I find an Arkansas Hard Stone to be the best/only way to keep knives sharp.
Here's a link. http://www.bestsharpeningstones.com/catalog/Hard_Arkansas_Stone.htm
If you look around a bit, you will find these in various grits from rough to very-fine. And you won't have to mortgage the manse to buy them. The very fine is almost like a razor hone and you can put a razor edge on a quality knife with one. A three stone set is still reasonable: http://www.bestsharpeningstones.com/catalog/Arkansas-3-Stone-Kit.htm
You will have to learn how to use them. Deepwater has a favorite saying: You can teach a monkey how to ride a bicycle, but you can't teach him how to fix one.
I think you could probably teach a monkey how to use an Arkansas Hard Stone.

... He scares me.....
Off topic, but hey, it's DRTV!! ::) ;)
For my Marine son, for Christmas 2014 I gave him a Steve Reichert designed knife from Skallywag. Weighed a ton, was beautifully balanced and deadly as hell. Scared the living crap out of the women-folk, and all of the other sons wanted to hold it! ;D
