Title: I would like to see statistics on media reporting of shootings during Presidenti
Post by: Jim Kennedy-ar154me on February 26, 2016, 09:06:55 AM
With the multi-victim shooting Thursday and other shooting “seemingly” happening recently  I would like to ask a question. Is it me or do the number of “REPORTED” shootings always go up during a Presidential election year?
You see where I am heading.  Do the media intentionally try to increase the attention these tragedies receive for political motives? Certainly not!!!
I don’t know if anyone has actually studied this, (like John Lott), but I would really like to see the results of such a study. Any of you know of such a study?

I don't know about that.
But I have noticed that they only knowingly report the ones where the killer was white.
The shooting in Charleston was on the news for 2 weeks, but the  9&10 victim shootings by blacks in Philly, and Detroit were not even mentioned on the news.
Had to read the blogs tofind out about those.

I don't know about an increase in Presidential Election years, but with this administration we have seen a lowered threshold for numbers constitution a "mass shooting", and we are seeing much more hype over them.

Will be interesting so see what happens if the Medias candidate does not win the election.  Will every bar fight become an attempted mass shooting that failed because the combatants did not actually have a gun.

I don't see why not.
There have already been a couple of reported "school shootings" that did not actually happen at schools, just with in a few blocks anddid not involve any students.

Why hasn't the liberal media picked up on this?.... Google, "black Trump supporter shot dead in Chicago", and you'll get numerous detailed articles on it........ Except from the MSM.

Something else you never hear mentioned...... Just for kicks, Google, "most hated senator", and watch what comes up.
