Does anyone know the legal status of guns that don't look like guns? For a long time I thought they were illegal then I saw some pen guns for sale.

it may not be a AOW.  if it can not fire until it is unfolded it might be a handgun.

some pen guns are that way, they are un fireable until they are transformed it to a gun like object.   others are AOW.

edit no where on their site does it say its a AOW... i believe they must say if they are.

Heck.  Just mail them a check and wait until it hits the mailbox.

Oh wait.  This is not the 1960's.

My bad.

Not very excited about it.

You would be need to have four of them on  your belt to match the capacity of an LCP (assuming it holds 2 rounds..does not say, but it seems with 2 barrels, that would be the case)

Further I believe I could have my LCP in play and fired dry from my pocket holster before this one would be ready to go..

If you are serious about carrying, then choose a serious carry weapon...not a two round gimmick.

But I guess if you won't carry unless it is something this simple, do it....but remember you are not being serious about your carry weapon.

Unlike your LCP this can be carried where guns aren't allowed, like court houses.

I think you're right. The pen guns I saw twisted in the middle into a pistol shape.

Lukewarm about the idea.  Somewhat of a gimmick.  Wouldn't someone want to know why you have 2 cell phones?

It would be better for someone like me that doesn't own a cell phone but I'm not convinced it's faster than a pocket pistol.

Wrong Tom.  It is still a gun and subject to the restrictions.  Now, there are areas where you can carry in government and school buildings - like Minnesota :)

Your thinking is flawed,.
I never said it was legal, I said it would give you a gun in places you mere citizens aren't allowed to have them.
If you wish to be a "good citizen" and trust your safety to the people who  have spent the last 15 years profiling old ladies and infants but not Muslim men and gangbangers that's your business but there ARE other options.

In a rather convoluted law passed last year in GA, local governments can only outlaw guns in their buildings IF they take positive action to screen for them.  They can't just pass a law, but have to setup metal detectors and have LEOs screen everyone entering.

So local governments who previously weren't overly concerned, at least not enough to set up screening stations, are now scrambling to do so, just to stop law abiding citizens from carrying in local governmental buildings.

You are not making sense Tom, unless you are saying that it is ok to break the law.

Disguising a gun does not make it legal to carry any more than if it isn't disguised.  There are legal ways to carry or otherwise protect yourself, and there are legal ways to change the laws.  And, of course, there is a time to rebel.  As of today we have the ability to live within the law to protect ourselves and to better, or correct, the system.

I'm saying that if you chose to actually exorcise your rights regardless of what your betters decree this gives you the option of saying screw the unconstitutional laws.
"Shall NOT be infringed " isn't that hard to understand.

Yep....... me and the deputy manning the detector at our county admin building laugh at this every time I have to go renew auto tags.
