Michael, Tjell, Teresa, and others:
Some of you are playing and having a good time. Some of our friends and members are there with you. Please post some photos of the fun being had for those of us who cannot join you.

I just want to second that sentiment. Living in the PNW is great other than most National events take place back East and my traveling budget is smaller than my reloading budget ;D.

Biggest news so far out of the NRA meetings is the S&W Shield in .45! Galco already has leather for it.
FWIW

Shot the Shield in .40 S&W and it sucked! Can't imagine it's better in .45 ACP!

3 miles in 3 hours...b This is my first Annual Meeting but whoever chose this place did NOT think about the venues ability to handle this many people/cars!!!
Here's to hoping Atlanta is better equipped to handle this kind of volume! Cheers! (Whew!)

Guess you missed the Leadership conference where NRA endorsed Trump.
That's probably where MB was.

tombogan, I didn't pick up on that info until after my post. I got news of the Shield in an email from Galco early yesterday PM.

Yea, that's the way it usually works .
You can only attend just so many of the events and stuff

Apparently, alcohol flowed at a rate that smartphones and cameras were fumbled, and bar napkins and sharpies could not be mastered by this group.
Two tasks, that is all I gave them - Have fun and post pictures.
Maybe next year I should remind them to breath in, breath out, so we don't lose anyone to cyanosis.

Maybe you should read your own thread. I posted 70 photos last night, you old coot!

I did not take any pictures at the party (what happens in Louisville...), but I did get some of what I thought were the more interesting guns. My favorite was from a company just down the road from me in Clairton, PA. It's called New Order Firearms and they are making a left-handed striker-fired polymer pistol. From their website: "There are no castings, MIMS (metal injection molds), fabricated tin, plastic rails, laser welding or steel stamping used in our product." Every part of their pistols is made here in PA. ;D

Now that that's out of the way.
Geoff, Darrin, Michael, and Andy,
It was great getting to spend time with you guys at the show and/or the reception afterward. Garry James stopping to talk to us at the OC booth was pretty cool, too.
Now, it's been a long drive and I must go grocery shopping, get ready for work tomorrow, and see about moving to Wyoming ;).

Forgive me! My computer went rogue and updated itself to Windows10. I am not able to open links, so not seeing any photos I ranted.
Maybe when I get home later this week I will be able to figure out how to open stuff.

That's OK. Sorry about the "old coot" comment. To whet your whistle, here's a photo of guns from another western PA company. These will go for a little bit more than the other one I posted.

No problem Brian. I am a little nervous about getting everything working this week. I have a few things going, but some of my programs will not respond. Saturday when I was at an IBP/Tyson plant, their computers did this in the morning. When I stopped at the south gate to drop my empty trailer they had no computer at all and were waiting for IT to show up. I pulled around to the north gate to get my loaded trailer, and they had some function on a hit and miss basis. She told me it had been over eight hours and IT had just gotten them to that point.
Trying to decide if I want to keep messing with my six year old stuff myself when I get home later this week, or if I want the bride to drop it at the guru's shop while I'm gone.

Met with Guns-r-us and Deepwater today. Had a great time visiting with them. Sorry I missed you Brian. Met with Michael Bane yesterday. Posted pics on my Facebook, Rob Ping Harless. Other pic's will be posted at Robert Brian Harless Certified NRA Training Counselor page. Missed Seeklander every time.

It was good to finally meet a couple of you.:D Unfortunately, I spent my off time this trip doing more homework (only two semester left till I get my life back).??? Hopefully, I will have more time to attend the after show party in Atlanta. Being I was by myself I didn't take too many photos. I DID get my hands on the M&P 45 Shield, and it felt gooood! ;D ;D ;D

Sorry I missed everyone at the beer fest, but I spent the time catching up with old friends.
The .45 Shield impressed me (and I am not a .45 fan). The Korth/Nighthawk revolvers, on the other hand, REALLY impressed me. I got a chance to handle them and chat with Grant Cunningham about them, and I think they'll fit right in with the rest of the Nighthawk line. No, they are not a 686 or an SP101, they fit a different niche and they fit it quite nicely. If a Mercedes AMG GT could spit out .357 rounds, it'd look like this gun.
