Title: selling on ebay
Post by: TAB on June 29, 2016, 05:48:46 PM
any one sell stuff on ebay?

I am in the process of cleaning out the garage. ( building a house on 40 acres with a barn)  I have a lot of stuff that is very hard to sell locally, that I don't need or want.( mainly tooling and car/boat parts)  so I was thinking about posting them on ebay.

whats your exp with this?

A friend has supplemented his retirement quite nicely using eBay.  I've bought a few things.

I have an account...never sold, though....a friend makes good money on the side selling 4x4 parts on ebay.

I have both bought and sold on Craigslist in my local area.

Kind of a rip. They get like 10% of your auction proceeds and if you use paypal, then PP takes their 3% too. Not sure what their business plans amount to....

Just remember to keep in mind the fees. I usually added about 15% to what I wanted to cover the fees Ebay (And paypal) will charge. Also remember the shipping. Put in a good disclaimer about it being sold "AS IS",etc....

Good luck.
