yes it has been since I was last on here before I started my move and what a project that turned out to be. Found a place a few blocks away and contacted the people said they would "help" and would up doing most it by my self no big deal just found out how much junk I had gotten in over a year! All went well until one day I was at the storage site unloading my truck and WHAM felt like I got hit by a .500 Mag in the chest and thought to myself this is not good sit down after a few minutes the pain went way down and I got the truck unloaded and got in the car to go to pay some bills and stopped at the sawbones to make an appointment for ASAP . Well he made a appointment for a echo and I went and as usual I knew I should have brought my own razor( I think the get this at the bottom of the sea next to the Titanic)Well being that I work EMS I have seen echos and kinda know what to look for and did not like what I saw, two days later ole sawbones calls me and say your going to a cardiodisector. (crap) so I go to him yesterday and yep the aortic valve need to be replaced along with them using a roto rooter in one (or more) of my artires this takes place on 9-2 so I'll be of work for about a month. Boy am I gonna make that aflac duck quack!
That is not the only reason you have not seen me here the other reason is that the phone company needed to be talked to several times to get them to transfer my phone after the lied and said it would be on the 19th (which it was not) then they said it would be the 25th, guess again, yep it was to day , after I called from a phone both and b listed the lines as I had no 911 access, have bad heart problems ,a wife that is 4th stage COPD,contacted the state attorney generals office consumer affairs division and about to contact my attorney and make another complaint with the attorney general so get off their tail and get my phone on!. But through all this I guess I'm lucky cause I did not get laid off like 100 other of my co workers did. By the way where's Hazcat?.

Gunman, I went into the hospital for an angiogram, and they wouldn't even let me leave the hospital. As the angioplasty guy said - he is the most aggressive guy in Chicago, but even he wouldn't try to do a couple of the blocks I had.
Hang in there Gunman, our prayers are with you and your wife. And don't take the phone company people personally - they screw everyone. ;D
-
Chin up, Chief....things will get better.
-
We will be praying for you and the wife
-
Gman,
Careful with that Nitro. Don't want to blow up yet! ;)
Had (have) a few heart problems myself, incredible how it hurts ain't it.
You take care of yourself, we need all the good people we can get so we sure can't afford to lose you!

Do what your doctor says, take advantage of the help, relax and heal up, and spoil the grandkids and great grandkids.
Also, take that advice from a well known tv commercial, and ask you doctor if your heart is healthy enough for sex.

You'll be back on the bullseye in no time; prayers and thoughts coming to you and your family.
And don't take the phone company people personally - they screw everyone. Grin

If valve replacement is anything like a bypass, he was home within a week, but probably ain't feeling all that great at the moment. It took me 2-3 weeks before I was up and walking around regularly, and didn't need to clutch a pillow if I coughed or sneezed.
Hang in there Gunman, rest up. We're holding your place for you.
-
Valve replacement is slightly more invasive to the heart than a bypass (you have to go into the heart cavity), but they have newer techniques (they can actually do it with a scope in some cases) than when my dad had it done 10 years ago. He had 2 valves replaced with artificial valves and in a quiet room you can literally hear him 'tick' (especially when he's pissed at something).
Best Wishes again to you, Gunman.
