damn I wish I would have put a $100 on them to win in vegas   it was 200 to 1 at the start of the season.

You probably would have suffered through 6 heart attacks before you won your money. You've got to give them credit for pulling it off, after being down 2 games early in the Series. After Chapman gave up a 2 run homer, I thought it was over for sure. I still don't understand why they took Hendricks's out in the 5th, or why they put in Chapman in the 8th. One was doing good, and the other was burned out before he got to the mound. It's by the grace of God they didn't lose.

I heard it's the first time they've won the world series in 108 years or somewhere thereabouts.

Correct. The last time they won a World Series was 1908. The last time they were in a World Series was 1945. They went to the National League Championship Series in 1984, 1989, 2003, 2015. Which they all lost.

Well, the prediction of the Cubs winning the World Series in the movie "Back To The Future: Part II" was only one year too early.....

News paper story today about a local woman, Cubs fan, who was born the last time they won the Series.
