Title: The View
Post by: MikeBjerum on November 10, 2016, 10:32:50 AM
My only exposure of The View has been links sent to me.  Until today.  I'm sitting here reading about all who promised to leave the United States, and I say Whoopi.  Thought, wonder what the View is doing post election.  Then I wondered when it is on.  Turned on the office TV, brought up guide, and IT IS ON!  Actually went to it just in time to see a tease of Tom Selleck saying he was the first guest on The View, and he is up next!

I'm staying in for a little bit to see what happens next!

They stayed on topic, which was to promote Blue Bloods.  However, there were two political comments by Selleck, and nobody entered in one way or the other:

1.  He praised Pres. BHO, HRC and DJT (in that order) for the grace they showed post election in healing words and attitudes;
2.  He stated that he took no public stance in politics, because he owes his public voice to CBS and the charities he supports first.  He also stated that his vote was a write in for Dallas Police Chief Brown based on the leadership he showed through the difficult times he faced with the assassinations and turmoil that followed.

I think that in these two points, especially the way he explained them, that he has done more to heal than anyone I have heard to date.

I will admit that my day off coffee high was hoping for a butting of heads between him and Whoopie over basic rights.

F#ck healing.
Our blood enemies have suffered a defeat, now is the time to drive home the assault and turn their defeat into a rout.
 The war is not over any more than the Civil War ended at Gettysburg.
