Over the past 10 days I have lost more faith in our populous than I have in the last decade. Our media is focused on destroying Pres. DJT.
I know that several people fought Pres. BHO and refused to give him a chance. But, the media and people, both elected and private, from both sides are flat out lying to push an agenda to make our President look bad. I just heard a speaker (guest) on CNN say that people think we are sending a message that we hate Muslims, and that this is not true, but two minutes ago he said that this order is about hating Muslims.
Where do we as a nation go from here when our free press is spreading a long list of partial truths and their version of the facts. Yes, I used the category of alternative facts, because they are taking things out of context and from non-equal settings to create their own narrative.
On the line of full facts and fairness in a debate, why is it so hard to find the facts that these bans on people coming in are not just on Muslims, and that they are not full bans - This is a temporary freeze on regions until we can get a grip on things. Also, Saturday and early Sunday I read articles, with citations from the actual orders, that those traveling with legal Green Cards will not be affected. However, this morning they are hyping that those here legally with paperwork live in fear of deportation or will not be allowed back in as they travel. This is a lie being spread by the left and Pres. DJT hating right.

This has all been going on for years. It took Trump to bring it to the forefront. He is the most brash and straightforward, and no one expected him to win. They couldn't have possibly found a better candidate to upset the liberal Democrats, or the media that constantly slobbers over them.
Trump will prevail over all of this. He will get results and prove the liberals wrong at every turn. It took Trudeau just 24 hours to look like an asshole after declaring how, "Canada will take all the refugees Trump refuses to allow in". Right after he said it, 6 were killed and at least 8 wounded in a Quebec, Canada mosque shooting. This will get worse there, and better here. Trump should send them all to Canada in busses.
Watch Germany continue to get hit as long as they've got that worthless Merkel to deal with. In the meantime Trump will be cleaning up the mess here, looking better doing it all the time. Just remember, you can gauge the job he's doing by how pissed off the liberal Democrats are at him for doing it. The more pissed they get, the better job he's doing. They're just about ready to start ripping their hair out, and it's been less than 2 weeks.

We need to quit paying attention to these leftists, do what we elected Trump to do and if the liberals protest club them insensible, if they riot shoot them like dogs.

A big thing in this is that it is showing the liberal who claim to be Republican. I'm not referring to RINOs! I am talking about flat out DFL hiding behind the elephant logo and cowards that are more concerned about their cushy position than doing what is right correct.
-
.....if they riot shoot them like dogs.
Dogs don't deserve to be shot. Liberals do.
SHOOT!

Tom meant to shoot them like Rabid Dogs...but even rabid dogs are not acting deliberately.

Bill, that appears to be a familiar pose for that female. Whoever she is...it looks like she's done that before somewhere.

I know. I'm just giving him jazz. ;D

That's Ashley Judd. The one who made a fool of herself along with Madonna the other day. She was married to Dario Franchitti. The 3 time Indy 500 winner. He couldn't stand her any more than we can. They're divorced. Her sister is Wynonna Judd. She's not exactly fond of her lunacy either.

Solus is correct, but that made my day. LOL

I thought you were talking about "Legs". Can we start a thread drift here along that mistake on my part?

For entertainment check out the video of Wynona Ryder's facial expressions. I'm not sure what was going through her mind but I don't think she was either. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/01/30/winona-ryder-mocked-for-facial-expressions-at-sag-awards.html

That's called "heavy medication" I would suppose. 8)

F#ck unity.
If Trump's such a Nazi wen dowe start sending these a-holes to camps ?
-
Unity, in this country, will never exist as long as Soros does.
-
The only people bitching about unity are the ones who won't support their elected president. And they call him divisive. ::)

Sadly, I am coming to the conclusion that we are headed to a place where the only question is: Will the US split up peacefully or through conflict? I don't want this. I'm not working for this However, I am beginning to think a break up may be unavoidable.
I lived in California all my life, until June of 2015 - when my wife and I escaped to Idaho. This definitely gives me a different perspective than many people have. Here are some thoughts:
1) Coming to Idaho was unlike any move I made within California - even the move from the Bay Area to a very conservative part of California. In so many ways, it is like moving to another nation. I think a move to Texas, Georgia or Kentucky would have felt the same way.
2) The CALEXIT group is not a joke - they almost certainly will qualify a measure for the 2018 or 2019 ballot. They already have the support of one in three Californians. They have already figured out that they can capitalize on every liberal cause - gun control, isolationism, immigration - you name it, in order to increase that number. All they need in the California vote is 50% plus one. This number will also go up as Trump keeps his promises. SCOTUS decisions on things like gun rights will further anger and motivate the voting public to vote in favor of leaving.
California is huge. It will not be an easy political task to keep California if they want out. They have a huge congressional delegation - which means they can press hard for the necessary constitutional amendment. Some on the right may look at this as an opportunity to secure a huge Republican super-majority - simply by getting rid of California.
3) The next question is: If California leves, how long will the other West coast and Northeast states want to stay in a nation where Republicans and/or populists will rule for the foreseeable future? My guess is, not long.
What I would see at the end of a hopefully peaceful split is 2-3 nations. WA, OR and CA on the West coast as one new nation - perhaps with the sought after state of Jefferson composed of Southern OR and Northern CA counties providing the remaining US states with access to the Pacific. The Northeast states would form another nation, perhaps united with the West coast states, perhaps not. The remaining states would remain in the US - even those that are left of center, like CO and NM. These states are geographically isolated from other liberal states and not as far left as NY or CA. They also are not big enough to force their way out.
If - God forbid - this happens, there will be many people moving to new states. Hopefully these new nations would be able to maintain strong economic ties and, perhaps, strong military ties.
IMHO, the next few years will be critical. If the people in these blue states buy into what their leaders are pushing, a split may be unavoidable. Watch the process of confirming the next SCOTUS justice - it will be the most vicious in living memory........

I think most of these liberal strongholds like California will eventually collapse on themselves. Both financially and socially. Look at San Francisco. It's turning into a crime ridden, overpriced $h!t hole. Chicago, and many more are following suit.
People are leaving these places in droves for more conservative, free states. I did, and I'm not alone. They will be forced to change back to what they were before all of this socialistic nonsense started. Financially they can't keep sustaining themselves, along with all of the illegal invaders leeching off them. Trump is going to prove their way doesn't work. And he'll shut off the Federal financial spigot on them. And if these liberals want to go to guns, they won't last 15 minutes. We've got all the weapons.
-
And if these liberals want to go to guns, they won't last 15 minutes. We've got all the weapons.
Dear Lord, let's do all we can to avoid that. Scaled up for today's population the last war between the states cost close to 6 million lives.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The way these liberals act these days, if they get yelled at, they would most likely give up.
-
California may very well drop out, I hope the do The REAL show will be after about 2 years when their economic policies come home to roost and there 'is no Daddy DC to bail them out.
They won't go to the 3rd world, they will bring the 3rd world to them.
What happened to Detroit was minor compared to what will happen when the assholes have no where to flee to..

It will be fun to watch. A bit like when we were bored kids, and found a branch with a bunch of big spiders on it. We would snip off the branch, and push it out into the pond. They don't swim well with those long skinny legs, and big fat bodies. Much like liberals, the harder they struggled, the faster they drown.

They may leave the Union easy enough.
Question is, what can we require to get back in .
-

If we start by making them pay their own way, that should keep them out for centuries. Have you ever seen a self supporting government program, designed and implemented by liberal Democrats? Employ the same tactics that have worked so well for the mob. If you're not a good "earner", you wind up in a car trunk.
-
They may secede, literally, into the ocean, when the San Andreas fault breaks off and Nevada is ocean front property! Problem solved.
-

Yep.
I don't know the accuracy of the map, but I'd bet it's close.
-

Economic independence and stability, and full submission to our Constitution and federal laws.
-
And free Kel Tec's for every US adult.
They will be desperate we can make them grovel and do humiliating things. LOL
-
Don't let them back in. Build a wall ;D ;D ..and just push it over into the ocean when the time comes.
Should they do whatever it takes to secede, what % of the citizens would head east before it happened?
And think how the loss of those citizens would affect the economy there.
-
wishful thinking :).... but, we've already had one War of Northern Aggression in 1861-1865 that kind of rules it out
-
I'm more interested in how many liberals we can send West.
I think Les is wrong,to a point.
I think this time it will be the budget office, not the war dept that kills their little dream.
-

Took the words out of my mouth....I had started something I did not finish and post last night about who should run their Reconstruction but the pain of the DNA induced memories just wouldn't let me finish it.
-
Just remember. Pretty much everything you know about "reconstruction" was fed to you by Democrats.
-
Tom that is an inescapable fact. I feel better now. I needed that jostling of inherited memory to get the proper perspective.
That proper perspective is that someone that hails from south of the Mason-Dixon line should run California's reconstruction should they choose to leave the union....because they are gonna wanna come back in after a while.
So on their way out we should attempt to foster and, at least in part, finance a mass migration of like minded people to California and provide assistance to those wanting to leave California for a more conservative climate.
A win-win kind of a thing for everyone....except California. They need to do this and live with it 10-15 years so the children will hate it more than the parents do.
-
They get their water from Hoover dam right. California gets its power from other states right. Shut it off and let Escape from L.A. the movie happen for a while. We will watch what happens and when the rioting and looting is over go from there.
-
MROFL Love the idea.

Hey, that sounds like a plan. 8)

California has nuclear power, for the time being, and they are big in solar and wind. I don't know how much power they import vs. export. They may be energy neutral.
Water is another issue. They are draining ever major river north and east of them. I remember in the 60's and 70's that they were working on large scale desalination, but they can't seam to get it done.

Only Diablo Canyon is still operating! Rancho Seco and San Onofre are shut down...
I'd guess the 18000 giga watts annually ain't powering anything but LA...
CA and their antis have done their damage!
-
They scream and scream for clean energy, and then protest and shut down the cleanest reliable energy source there is. When I see the protests concerning nuclear plants they refer to WWII and the long term effects. Imagine if anyone would educate these people to the actual source of many other weapons of mass destruction that are derived from products like freon, gasoline, diesel fuel, and computer technology. Maybe they would start protesting against those products as well.
-
Here in the NE, whose dependence on heating oil to heat our homes would benefit most from nuclear power, have seen Yankee Rowe shut down, CT Yankee shut down, Pilgrim due in a few years, Millstone down a reactor and Seabrook under intense pressure, are paying the price of stupid or poor gas line infrastructure improvements! If we let these asshats on the east and left coasts determine our future we're well and truly phuqued...
-
Mike mentioned liberal horror of he long term consequences of nuke plants.
Have you seen a recent photo of Hiroshima,or Nagasaki ?
How about Detroit ?
Which has worse consequences ?
