I must just stumble into Cabelas at the right times. A couple of months a go it was a fantastic rebate on Bushnell game cameras. Today it's Federal Ammo. I decided that for "big" matches, like State level and up, I'd only shoot commercial ammo. And after testing I decided that would be American Eagle. Today, at Cabelas I picked up 2 boxes and when I checked out, voila. I love that about Cabelas, in that they alert you to the rebates and print out extra receipts just for that purpose.
Specifically the rebate is 25% on American Eagle ammo. Doesn't matter what dealer or what deals you get. It's 25% off the cash register receipt price. Good until 8/31.
Gun purchases might have to be on hold, as I may be going back for more.

I know. This ammo price thing is getting better that I thought it would all of a sudden. Time to step up the training....

You can never, ever have too much ammo.
-
Caution: it's max of $5 per box and $50 per household.
But this may make a box of SW500 almost affordable.

They also have an American Eagle .223 Rem and 5.56mm 55gr or 62gr FMJ/Ball Ammunition Rebate of up to $200 plus some other rebates.

I just bought 5,000 bullets and a caliber conversion for my Dillon 550 to reload some 9mm for my and the wife's G19.... I'm not above asking for forgiveness though :D
