Title: If Facebook was a religion
Post by: Big Frank on January 17, 2018, 12:51:11 PM
I know we've talked about Facebook before, and reasons to join or not join, but look at it this way. Facebook is so popular that if it was a religion it would be second only to Christianity. It has 2.07 billion true believers.

The rankings of the top 5 religions in the world and approximate percentages would be:

1. Christianity 33.5%
2. Facebook 27.2%
3. Islam 22.3%
4. Hinduism 16.1%
5. Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist 15.4%

And Facebook does its best to quiet or curtail any Christian posts by most everyone!

I didn't know that. If they censor one religion they should censor all of them to be fair. I've heard a few people say they were banned for disagreeing with someone on whatever the subject was. I guess it all depends on what the powers that be deem to be politically correct. I think one of the guys got banned for saying that a guy wearing a dress is still a guy, and not a woman just because he identifies with that gender, or however they say it.

Some guy did an experiment a few years ago. He created duplicate fb pages with one being pro-Jewish and one was pro-Islam. He purposely posted anti-Islam posts on the Jewish page and anti-Jewish posts on the Islam page........ Guess which one was shut down by fb?

The typical loony lefty response would be to praise our peace-loving Muslim brethren and condemn the dirty Jews.

I have heard that FB bases much of it's decision to "ban" a page on the complaints it receives from it's user base.  So, the more activist users segments get stuff banned...and I do believe the Liberals thrive on being this type of troll and "social warrior" .  They tend to feel that the anonymity keeps them from suffering any consequences from there actions...and acts of causing grief to others gives purpose to otherwise empty lives and a feeling of being powerful.

Or, in simple terms, liberal trolls are just assholes!
