Title: I've gone and done it....
Post by: fatbaldguy on February 19, 2018, 04:18:10 PM
Got myself a Dan Wesson A2 Commander.  Para, Ruger, Remington, Kimber(gah!), Colt. They're all distant seconds and worse compared to this.
Built tighter than bark on a tree.  Smoother than silk on a babies butt!
I'm now in process of selling some lesser 1911's, and semi-auto's I don't really shoot anymore to get the V-bob. I'm even cancelling the order on a CZ 97BD, just doesn't interest me now. Not after shooting the Dan Wesson.
I'd say it is the best production gun I've ever shot.

Congratulations FBG. A long time ago I had a Dan Wesson revolver. The name makes me think quality when I hear it. They're celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a special 1911. It has some engraving and gold inlay, no roll mark on the slide, and a brass bead front sight. Plus the high polish finish is nice and shiny. I like shiny objects.   :)
