Post by: TAB on April 30, 2018, 03:15:04 PM
Just got approved for a full auto m16, I can pick it up Thursday.  Time too make the liberal bay area burkenstock wearing liberal laywer  that lives next too me wet his panties...  at 7 am on a Sunday. 😁

Wow!!  TAB.

And I was thinking I might start checking out pawn shops from the influence of the other thread....but I'm pretty sure I won't find a good deal on that one in any of them.

WTG and enjoy it...

You should be able to do that just by pasting a photo on his mailbox door. Having the real thing may induce cold sweats, nightmares or even apoplexy.  ;D

When I was building my barn, he came over pissed off that I was scaring his horses and they got in too the barbed wire fence.  Mow I was 600' from the property  line using a backhoe...  said he was going to sue me for the vey bills.  Then I handed him my lawyers biz card.   Him being from the bay area knew exactly who  my lawyer is... a named partner in the 3rd largest law firm on the west coast.  Never heard back from him, but I see him in his prius getting stuck on the gravel road at least once a year.  Helped him out twice and recomend  he buy at least an awd  SUV.   There is a reason every one has a 4wd pick up/4wd full-size  SUV out here...  He also complained about noise from my cnc  router in the barn, that has run 24/7 for the last 9 months.  Only prob is this is zone ag  land. No noise constraints  as long as it is below 90 db at the property line...  I may or may not have pointed the blower vent for the 17 up vaccumm  pump at his house...

Just saying, act like an add, get treated like one.  The guy on the other side, I met him cutting down some trees, he road up on horse back with an ar15 and a 1911 on his hip, he helped me cut up the downed trees.  He is a rancher that I let him graze on my land for property tax.   We get along great.  Ps he raise $$$$$ grass fed beef for high end steak houses.  His rib eyes are too die for.

Great news TAB! If I had anywhere to shoot one I might apply too. I can't even shoot "rapid fire" at Williams Gun Sight. I haven't shot at any of the other ranges in the area, except for during a CCW class. They do allow up to .50 BMG on the outdoor rifle range at Williams, but I don't think they dd the last time I was there.

I had to get up off the floor and have a seat after reading --> "I see him in his prius getting stuck on the gravel road at least once a year." At least he's good for entertainment value, and you have a good neighbor on one side of you. That's more than some of us can say.

Damn, TAB...along with the other great stuff you get this.   See if he'll ship small orders of rib eyes to Ohio for personal use =))

P.S.  You seem to have an abundance of lawyers in your area...the woman who sued you and the guy who threatened to?  Or did you sue her?  I remember she got smacked in court..

She got disbarred for committing perjury.  All of my neighbors for two miles and every direction I like except for this guy. They are either ranchers or contractors. All of them were invited to the barbecue after I finish my barn. Well okay there was one that was not

The Mag Pump looks good, but someone is supposed to be coming out with a much better loader, I just can't remember who. You just insert a mag, dump some ammo in the hopper, type in how many rounds you want it to load, and push the go button. It's automated and does everything else for you. You don't have orient the ammo in any direction either, you just dump it in.

There is a manual version that still loads a 30 round mag in seconds.

TAB should be able to make one with his skills and equipment.

I could, but honestly they are so cheap it would not be worth my time.

I mean at $150.   I would have several hours into making something work.   It's a no brainer.

That was at the link I posted and you can get it in plastic or billet aluminum. But DanPatWork posted the the other one I was talking about. You literally dump the ammo into the hopper and the machine sorts it out. Put in a 30 round mag, punch in 30 or a lesser number on the controls, wait a moment and you're done. Whatever your magazine capacity is you can load it completely full or less.

I use a 10 round Thermold mag charger to load all my army surplus AR mags. You can use G.I. metal stripper clips, Thermold plastic clips, or no clips at all. I have maybe 360 rounds in Thermold clips in case I need to load in a hurry, but normally just use loose rounds. I put the loader on the mag, put 10 rounds in, jam them in with my thumb, and repeat twice for each mag. It's impossible to load the rounds backward so it's idiot proof, but nothing in the world is *&^%$#@ idiot proof, if you know what I mean. In an emergency you can burn the clips for fuel. They're smokeless and non-toxic, so there's no problem using them to heat food or water. It's $9.95 for a loader and $4.95 for 10 clips/fuel sticks. For 5 cents more you can get the combo pack, but I wouldn't. A nickel saved is a nickel earned. The clips can be reused a lot more times than metal clips.

This guy makes it look hard, but for me it's easier to load loose rounds by putting the tip of the bullet in the loader before I put the base in. You don't have to line up both ends at the same time that way. You can tell the loader is filled with 10 rounds because another one won't fit. Clip or not, I put the base of the mag against my leg or on a table, use the joint of my thumb, and press down hard and fast. Done. A solid rest is better than using your other hand.

pulled it out today...ran 10 mags thru it.  I have about 5k rounds thru it at this point.  i am going to miss this place, but on ward and upward as they say.  the misses has been flying back and forth for training the last couple weeks.  i honestly miss having her at home.   no matter when we get home, we always make time for each other.

Yeah heck, we haven't seen you around here lately either.

Good deal on your M16.  If I remember right, this isn't the same place you had with the bad neighbors when you started this thread.

How many different places have you lived in the last 3-5 years?

Regardless, we have OFASTS (  www.oklahomafullauto.com (http://www.oklahomafullauto.com)  ) this weekend.  As I recall, you have inlaws in OKC?  Might not be a bad time to visit.

At this point do you even bother unpacking anymore, or just leave everything in boxes for the next move TAB?

sure seems that way.  the political culture here is changing and not for the better.  Portland has spread its cancer pretty hard.

Yeah Frank has a good question.  You probably just need to have your guns bunge corded down in safes for a move so you don't have to pack them again.  In fact...I might just have to check into how to bunge my guns in the safes....since I'm moving the safes in the next two years to another abode.

Lose foam in plastic bags works just fine as well. When I bolted the safe in the container used contractor trash bags full of packing peanuts. I had no issues, was a mess filling the bags.

Now there's a product idea.

Design dressers, closet fixtures and whatever else that can be closed, secured and treated like a moving crate.

Still have to deal with built in fixtures like kitchen cabinets

Still, I like the idea Solus.  Modular storage you can take with you.

Why not? Instead of walk-in closets, real estate agents can advertise, "Bedrooms accommodate 4 size XL Go-N-Home wardrobes in the provided nooks". And, "There's room for enough Stow-N-Go dressers and nightstands for your in-laws to drop in anytime".

Now thinking of how to make a walk-in-closet collapsible to steamer trunk size or so...

part of the reason is in the ubc, for a room too be a bedroom it must have a built in closet and it can not have a door into uninhabitable space( read that as garage)

Of course there have to be closets. If there weren't any closets, what would all of the LGBTQIA+ people come out of?

Then can you have a  house with no bed rooms?  or a token one and the rest have the Movable Closets??

for it too be a residence it needs at least 1.  I have been in some pretty bad ass 1 bedrooms over the years... many with more then 10k sqft.
