why do liberals whine about there first amendment rights and ignore there Second

same reason why gun owners cry when the 2nd gets trampled(in thier minds), but could care less about the 10th.
Its all about what you value more.

I think it is very important, but the SCOTUS hasn't bothered to read it in 70 or 80 years.

Certainly not since the Interstate Commerce trump card was played Haz.
As to why liberals don't like the 2nd amendment? It's like the old adage says: Democracy is two wolves and one sheep deciding what's for dinner. Liberty is an armed sheep disputing the results.

I think the better question is..... why do liberals not cling to guns if they truly believe that George W. is a tyrant?

Same reason Germans didn't when Hitler WAS a tyrant, because they are gutless little sheep convinced that Nanny Govt must know best or they will have to (OH HORROR) be responsible for themselves.

Because the libs own the schools, the courts, many of the state governments and the Fed bureaucracy.
And up to the last week or 10 days, they thought they were going to get Hitlery or b-ho, so they were just bidding their time.
It's a whole new ball game though. I hope McCain cleans out the Fed gummint and gets rid of all of the Klintoonistas.

My only argument with this is that the Socialist euro-wannabe's were there long before Cliton, The reason that Joe McCarthy is reviled by the socialists who write revisionist history is because he identified over 50 SOVIET AGENTS in the FDR and Truman administrations, KGB documents and electronic intercepts (The Venona tapes) identify and give code names of 300 soviet agents in US govt during that period.
