Title: BRN22 on PMACA chassis for Steel Challenge
Post by: les snyder on January 04, 2020, 02:51:02 PM
I've posted on several sites, so if I've already done it here, just ignore... the more I shoot the Steel Challenge, the more fun I'm having...for old guys, you move only on one stage, and the range I shoot at (WAC Pinellas Park,Fl) is limited so none of the long stages are used... I'd previously played with the SW M41, and a Carry Optic G17, but I really enjoy shooting the .22lr rifle class RFRO (rim fire rifle open)... so over the Christmas I built a new 10/22...

I wanted an integral scope mount, so went with a BRN22 integral mount receiver and sporter barrel from Brownells, and completed it with Ruger parts... installed it in a lightweight PMACA aluminum chassis....the chassis takes AR parts, so a SOCOM angled stock and Hogue hand grip... a rail under the abbreviated fore end holds an angled fore grip... topped with a Vortex SPARCII... very light and swings very quickly...
