I used to receive reply notifications to threads I've posted in here. But I no longer do. What, (and more importantly HOW), do I turn them on again? I can't seem to find a box to check in, "My Profile"... Or anywhere else.
-
Did you check in "Profile" under "Account Settings" ?
-
Gmail might block emails from the forum.
I will check on my end.

I thought I wanted a 2nd e mail account .
G-Mail taught me I didn't want one THAT bad.

Gmail blocka alot of stuff. I know i use to have that prob all the time when i would send stuff from my work email.

Right at the top of every thread is a box marked "notify"....but it only works for that single thread. I can't remember where the master switch is.
**EDIT**
Go to 'Profile' and there are three options top right just above your profile info marked as "Profile Info" "Modify Profile" and "Actions".
If you hover your mouse over "Modify Profile" there is a list of options and about halfway down is "Notifications".
When you click on that, it opens the page where you can check the box to receive notifications as well as other options.

OK. I did that, and now there is a blue checkmark by, "Turn Notification On When You Post Or Reply To A Topic." I also changed, "Request Notification Change", to "Instantly". And also the box below it is now set to, "Replies & Moderation". The blue checkmark was there, but I reset it anyway. So we'll see what happens. Thanks!

Did you get a notification for this ? ;D

No, I'm still not getting anything. I get notifications from other sites. So I don't think it's my G-Mail account.
-
I just checked all of my settings on my G-Mail account, and didn't find anything. I did change my, "Desktop Notifications" to, "New E-Mail Notifications On". And I moved the forum shortcut to the desktop bar at the top of my screen. I don't know if that will do anything, but I can't think of anything else to try. You guys may be right. It just doesn't like G-Mail.

Is it possible DRTV got inadvertently added to SPAM blocking? I've done that with Yahoo a few times over the years.

Is that something I can fix on my end? I'm not very computer literate... I'm still not getting any notifications.

You need to go find a 13 year old. We were born with basic survival instincts, but they are being born with a techie instinct that us old farts will never understand.

They learn this shit with potty training.
I know point and click. ;D

You'd have to go into your email settings and search for the DRTV link and remove it from the blocked pages. Every email provider is different. I use yahoo and it's not too difficult, depending on how many links are on the list.

OK, I think I found it. The notifications are going into my SPAM folder for some reason. (Which I rarely check). The only thing I can find to change this setting, is a small icon to click on by each message, to flag the message as, "important". I did that with all the Downrange E-Mails. But I don't think that will prevent new one's from going into SPAM as well. We'll see.
It is going to most likely depend if it's the location of where the E-Mail originates from, or the title itself that determines where it goes. If it goes by location from where it was sent, now I should start getting them. At least now I know that I'm getting them, and where to look to find them. Now I'll see if any further replies to the flagged topics get sent into my inbox, and stop going into SPAM. Thanks.

Oh hell.
Even I know that one. ;D
Go to your Spam,
Click on one of the notifications,
Right click the address,
you should get options including "ADD TO CONTACTS",
Click that , Now they should go to your inbox.

Well, this went into my inbox, not spam. So it must have worked!
