He was not one of us, his was truly a sad story for the last decade-plus, but he was my brother. He passed away last Sunday at the age of 75.
He was a Huey pilot during the Nam era, although he spent his entire tour at the DMZ in Korea, and ended up at Hunter AAB in Savannah when he transitioned out.
He suffered from dementia for some time, probably on the order of 18-20 years overall, but with a steep decline over the past 2 years. He was in a memory care facility when he passed.

So sorry Path. But if he was your brother he was one of us.

Sorry for your loss.

He's in Better hands now.

My condolences, Path.
I’ve had similar family circumstances and know the heartache! God Bless!

Thanks everyone, I very much appreciate your notes.
Here's a link to his obit should you want a scant few more details: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/savannah/obituary.aspx?n=donald-lowe&pid=198174384 (https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/savannah/obituary.aspx?n=donald-lowe&pid=198174384). I wrote a longer one but pretty much got edited to what was printed.
