Long story short, We won a settlement related to a traffic accident involving 2 semis... SO a lot has been going on.
-
An accident? Man that's a heck of a way to finance guns. Are you doing OK now??
-
Welcome Back. Hope the accident settlement didn't cost you an arm or leg. (too soon?)
Just a few of us regulars left. Impressive list of purchases. Of course it's missing anything spelled "revolver".
-
No, I wasn’t the one in the accident. But, unfortunately we lost way more than an arm and a leg. Semi driver ignored a construction zone and stopped traffic while driving in excessive speed and rear ended my parents (who were stopped in traffic) into a semi trailer also stopped in front of them.
2 counts of negligent homicide later and a lot of good lawyering ended well for my sister and I. So, after things settled down and we had pretty much planned out what were going to do, my sister and I decided to take an amount from the settlement just for us to do as we wanted.
This was part of my choice.
-
I am so sorry for you loss. I had no idea. While the law firms tout the big payouts, they neglect to mention that one has to have incurred a big loss to be worthy of such. Loss of you parents is devastating and trucker/firm should pay out big.
-
That pains me too for your loss. What a horrible thing for your family. I hope negligent homicide stuck and the driver gets a lot of time to think about his terrible choice.
