Title: Dear Mr. Obama :
Post by: Teresa Heilevang on September 23, 2008, 06:18:17 PM
These video's are made by the veteran who made the video to Obama about the war... and then walked off with his mechanical leg.

Economics 101

Possibly the best, clearest 4-minute explanation of what tax increases do to an economy ever.

Yeah, I just dont understand why democrats dont get this. Its not unproven theory. This is something that has been proven time and again down through history. Now I know that Democrats are smart people, (however misguided they may be) and the Democrats in Washington have all received high caliber educations from prestigious Ivy League schools....... so what is the problem? Do they not get it, or do they not want to get it?

It is a very simple concept: Tax cuts help grow our economy and increase the amount of money taken in by the government. And tax cuts for the rich benefit everyone.

When you increase minimum wage and increase tax cuts for the poor they go out and blow that money on Rims and lottery tickets. However, when rich people receive tax cuts they do things with their money that benefits everyone associated with our economy. They invest: They open small businesses, and hire new employees. They put money into other people's businesses which in turn increases their revenues and the company's stock price which grows people's 401K's.

Raising the tax burden on the rich does nothing to help level the playing field. When rich people are taxed heavily they hide their money so that it can't be taken away from them. Conversely, if you lessen the tax burden on the rich they take their money out of hiding and start spending. And when rich people spend their money they create jobs and grow our economy. THIS BENEFITS EVERYONE!

M'ette.

On page 1 I see one post (yours) with a red x vid on it.  I tried doing  the 'properties' thing and it goes no where.

Now there is this second page with 5 posts before mine.

Something is screwy with that single post on page one and no vid.

They don't WANT to get it, what they WANT to get is a soviet style nanny state despite the fact that that system has failed miserably every where it has been attempted.
I've said it before ,but, the definition of insanity is repeating the same action expecting different results.
