This is why you watch what you say in the open.
If the man was actually serious, then it was an issue to be dealt with.
If he was just blowing hot air so he could look the part online, then he paid a stiff price for his words.

I was raised to not utter stupid bullshit like that period. You just don't do that sort of thing at anytime to anyone. No telling what other stupid things he may have done when they knocked on his door.
On another note...I hope we don't get into a stupid war with Russia or a "righteous" war with China. I fear our incompetent leadership lends itself to a decapitation strike which would paralyze our military just long enough to lose in a bad way. But maybe Hunter has that worked out with the big guy and them on the down low and we just roll over...talk about the real possibility of a Manchurian Candidate.

There is an old saying that you don't pick a public fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel. (or in today's terms.. with those who purchase bandwidth by the ExaByte.) And of course, poking a bear who buys munitions by the box car isn't exactly a wise move.
Of course, anyone really planning, and capable of, an assassination wouldn't have telegraphed their intentions in the first place. But then bureaucrats have little sense of humor or reasoning.

The Secret Service takes this kind of talk very serious. Over my adult life I have read many news accounts of people "blowing off steam" in this manner and losing days, weeks and even months of their freedom. People forget, or don't care, that social media is public, and that everything posted is out there forever.

I just hope this guy didn't have a dog. You know what happens to beloved family pets whenever there's a raid. Or is it only the ATTF that shoots dogs?

Dan Bongino was saying the other day on his Blog that according to friends he still has in the Secret Service, They don't have enough manpower to investigate all the threats against Trump. As Michael likes to say, when you chum for monsters, don't be surprised when one shows up.
