Happy Thanksgiving guys. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving. I was blessed to be American by birth, so I always have that to be thankful for.

Father forgive me for I have shirked :'(
A tardy Happy Thanksgiving to all you degenerates and geezers!
I have a lot to be thankful for, both in the past year, currently, and possibilities for the year ahead. I hope you find yourselves in the same place.

Timothy, where the heck have you been?
We've been missing your input.
And then there is our fellow insomniac, Billt, we've been missing your input as well.
-
Timothy likes to disappear for months or years at a time, but it's always good to have him back. And the forum just wouldn't be the same without Billt and the rest of the regulars.

I’m around, got two grand critters now! Time with those little fillies is precious!
Nice words my brothers, thanks!

GO BLUE!

You wouldn't expect anyone to go green now,
would you? That just wouldn't be right.
-
And,
GO BLUE!
During this politically charged time in our nation you post that ;)

OK. I got the red...it was spelled out by Alf. What is the blue and what is the green?
Timothy, take comfort in remembering that we cannot help what our kinfolks are.

University of Michigan's school colors are Maize and Blue. Michigan State University's school colors are Green and White. Of all the universities and colleges in Michigan, this is probably the biggest rivalry of them all. I never watch any kind of sports, and even I know about it. There's a store here in Flint called The Split Mitt, that used to be The Great Divide and it specializes in merchandise for both of them.

I'm wondering if the name "SplitMitt" is a double entendre,In Canada a Mitt is a derogatory reference to a womans nether regions.

Then, what would it mean when they call Michigan the mitten state? :o

Somewhere around here, in Burton I think, which is directly across the eastern border of Flint I saw a giant gear from something in somebody's front yard. It must be at least 3 feet across, maybe even twice that big, standing on edge painted dark blue with a bright yellow M on it. If I was to root for either team it would be U of M. I'm less than 2 1/2 miles from the Flint campus, and this has always seemed like a U of M town.
I recently bought a pair of Colosseum Brand OHT Military Appreciation Code Fleece Camo Pants from Fanatics and got Michigan State Spartans pants, because they didn't have the Michigan Wolverines pants in the size I wanted. Operation Hat Trick (OHT) generates awareness and support for the recovery of wounded service members and veterans through the sale of branded merchandise and products. Proceeds are donated to select organizations that support the OHT mission. I had a $25 credit or something like that to use up and got some fleece pants cheap. They're only $23.39 now. Everything is up to 50% off with code: ADVENT.

I planned on posting this on a separate thread but never got around to it. Operation Hat Trick is dedicated to Nate Hardy and Mike Koch, two Navy SEALs who trained together, fought together and died together on Feb 4, 2008. Nate and Mike are buried side-by-side in Arlington National Cemetery.
