Same to ya. Happy New Year. My car's in the shop and I've been out of liquor for far too long. I didn't want to end the year without a drink, or several drinks, so I grabbed my rucksack and headed over to Rite Aid. I got plenty of libations for my not-a-celebration, and a free glass too.

I'll drink to that. Daj Boże! Prost! Na Zdrowie! Salud! I ran out of tequila and switched back to whiskey. I used a can and a half of margarita mixer for my last drink and had half a can left over. So my whiskey has that half a can of margarita mixer and a whole can (8 ounces) of ginger beer, instead of a can and a half of ginger beer. It tastes good enough to make again, plus maybe I can save some ginger beer to go with my rum when I run out of bourbon. I have to think ahead since I'm without transportation at least until Thursday afternoon, and probably Friday. I'm not walking to Kroger for Coke and I'm not paying Rite Aid's scalper's prices.

FedEx said my package from Detroit Ammo is delayed for 2 days, but I'm getting my 2 boxes of Ballistic Machinist 75 grain .380 ACP Interceptors on Friday. Can't mail order ammo in my state (NY), Our idiot governor pushed a background check for all ammo purchases. I''l drive to Pa to buy it before I participate in this unconstitutional law.

There's plenty of room for newcomers in The Rust Belt. Half the people in my city packed up and left since most of the GM shops started closing. Not that I'm suggesting anyone move to Flint, but anywhere north or Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw is great. Mostly occupied by whitetails, not liberals.

Come on down to GA.....we have some issues like others, but lack of access to ammo ain't one of them at this time. Land is still cheap in many areas.
As to the "happy" new year......
Someone said last week that they hoped 2024 sucked less than 2023....well, around here 2024 arrived like a New Orleans hooker on Valentine's Day..........
2024 brought the Wuhan flim-flam to our house again. Nothing severe, just like a bad cold that lingers longer than it should....as in you feel better than a few days ago but hit a flat spot and don't seem to improve much. Wife had it a little worse since she's prone to bronchial issues (since chemo years ago). I don't feel sick....just don't feel all the way well either.
