Finally, Miss Kitty and I have contracted THE virus. Not hospitalization bad, but a really bad and slow recovering cold. Started feeling things on Monday. Tested positive on Tuesday. I think I'm over the worse, but it'll take several more days before I start to feel right.
Had I still been working I would have gone in to cover certain events, but being retired I don't have to be anywhere. Weekend matches around here are canceled because of weather, so there really not a lot to do. Don't dare tackle anything requiring full faculties for fear of making a mistake (think reloading, designing or programming).
Control test vs my test.

I think those tests are rigged…

I think those tests are rigged…
I'd think they're more inclined to false positive as that would be, from a public safety standpoint, safer.
As shown though, they do know the difference between an unused swab and one that was actually, uh, swabbed.
C only = negative
C & T = positive
T only = invalid test

I just don’t trust the gubmint or the drug companies…
Never tested myself and I live in an elderly complex.
-
Hey the test was a freebee and there's nothing to loose, or gain really, from taking it, except I can now wear the Wuhan Battle Ribbon.
-
I don't know if this works on Wuhu Kung Flu or not, but I was sick with a really bad cold or something, I don't know what, when I was stationed in Germany. I bought a bottle of Jagermeister, and I think one of my roommates had one shot. I drank the rest of the 750 ml bottle, went to bed, and stayed covered up with 2 wool blankets. When I got up the next day, I may have have been slightly intoxicated, but I was no longer sick. I sweated out whatever virus was making me sick during the night. My thinking at the time may have been something like, it tastes like cold medicine, so maybe it'll work. :) Well, it worked great.

Wear your battle ribbon proudly! 😁
It’s all good…but nothing about Covid was free…those of you who pay taxes get the bill! I no longer file tax returns.
-
Chest candy for Alf. Wear it proudly.

NOPE. Ain't gonna cut it. I'll have to redo it replacing Covid with Wuhan.
I was really thinking of something along the lines of the China Service ribbon. Oak cluster for multiple encounters. Silver cluster for each 5x encounters.
-
There needs to be an Ivermectin star for the ribbon.

One son's a first responder and has had the Wuhan flim-flam five times that he knows of for certain (some cases are milder and might not flare). Wife and I celebrated New Year's Eve and following week with it (son and his lady friend had it again too).
I think the wife had one of the early cases of it all the way back in February 2020 before the big blow-up and then we had it when the "Delta" variant was out in August 2021.
When I had it in 2021 it was the first time I'd been sick enough to go to a doctor in 20+ years. All my doctors visits leading up to that were related to continuing treatment for my motorcycle accident and routing check-ups.

Did you guys get the jab?

Did you guys get the jab?
Three years back. Had a cold a few years ago, never tested myself.
-
Did you guys get the jab?
I did after my doctor told me too. I said I would and kept my word. Then I got a booster and that's it. I'm not going to keep getting it every year. I didn't get a flu shot this season but have been for decades. I used to get sick all the time before I started getting flu shots, then quit catching everything that was going around. I've barely left the house for months or I probably would have caught something this time too.
-
I got the jab due to the recommendations of my wife's health specialists. Have still had the vid three times. The specialists of since changed their advise on the program and no longer advise we get them. One has told her not to.
Nice thing about the bat bug is that it is turning to what I have always thought it would: Just another annual flu bug. First time through it was new, and nobody had any immunities. We got sick, very sick in some cases, and the weak and ill died off. Each passing time is less and less due to immunities. However, just like all other diseases, it still takes out the weak that we have protected from other natural deaths.
-
Wuhu flu is going to be here forever, just like the flu. And it will keep changing, just like the flu. And when the people who make the vaccines want to know what's coming next, they'll look at China, just like the flu.
Everybody Was KugFlu Fighting.

Am I the only one here who has not had the Wuhan??? From 2020 through 2023, I haven't even been sick, not a cold, nothing.
My wife caught the Wuhan on our return from the UK, and as we were together all of the time, I was surprised not to get it. She was down for 4-5 days, different symptoms each day, and then it was gone.
This year, she got a cold after Christmas, and that I did get, albeit mildly. We left for Hawaii on Jan 5, and I was not feeling well. Slept most of the day on Jan 6, and I have been fine ever since.
I credit God's grace as we have been and are being used by Him greatly.
I also picked up on the Israeli report in early 2021 that a vitamin cocktail seems to be effective against the Wuhan. Since I discovered Costco carries that cocktail, I have been taking it 2x a day for 2+ years. The mix is Vit A, C, D, zinc and something else, Costco calls it Super C.
-
I caught it after Christmas 2020. I refused the jab...which makes more and more sense as more reports come out over time. There was a dump of CDC emails proving they knew about the jab causing heart problems but they did not want "..to alarm the public."
Clearly it appears to by CYA and it could be they did not want to jeopardize a juicy drug company job after government retirement. They should be tried for manslaughter for withholding information.
-
I guess you are Path. We got the initial jab a booster, but that was before my infarction occurred. My GP quit recommending after that. I get the general flue shot and the pneumonia shot each year at Miss Kitty's insistence. I knew it was a matter of time, just hoping the severity and length could be shortened.
I have taken overdose of C and D for decades. I also use Nasacort nasal spray every day. Initially it was to see if it could clear a eustachian tube blockage. It did so much more that in the almost 15 years I've been using it this is only the 2nd or 3rd virus to manifest itself. And remember Miss Kitty and I worked around elementary students during that time. I think Nasacort, by keeping my airways open make it difficult for viruses to breed. Improving every day. Really wish the ears would unstop.
-
Sometimes I have to use saline nose spray several times during the day to get my eustachian tubes cleared. Once they start to plug up I generally have an ear infection on the way if they don't clear. I keep the saline spray around at all times to interdict a larger problem.
-
No wuhan kooties here either. Never tested and like I told my doc three years ago, I’m done with all vaccines.
BTW, I did some work inside the Pfizer labs in CT some years back…lots of cages and not too clean. Phuque that!!!!!
Anyone else notice the overwhelming commercials about drugs?
-
It's too bad they don't show a TV commercial for a drug that takes care of all the side effects of the 3 or 4 drugs they advertised in the last 10 minutes!
I haven't had COVID-19 yet AFAIK, but I think I'm only a month shy of 4 years with a cough that just won't go away. Not completely, and not long until it gets bad again. I still have some of the Wuhan Labs ;) home tests. I should do a couple of them and see if they still show negative.
-
Some of those free test kits are bogus and won't show positive many times....especially on these newer mutations....according to a couple of doctor friends. Most of those were a pocket-lining scheme for someone with Chinese connections when bought via gubmint contracts anyway...... heck, that would've been a great way to introduce the virus. ;D ;D ;D
-
Did you guys get the jab?
Nope.
My mom got the shots based on her doctor's recommendation due to age.....and now she has chronic issues that suddenly developed and were not an issue on the health radar prior to 2020.....but she hasn't had the wu-wu flu though.
With considerably lower efficacy rates, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines cause more deaths than save lives, according to a new study whose researchers called for a “global moratorium” on the shots and “immediate removal” from childhood immunization schedule.

Abstract
Our understanding of COVID-19 vaccinations and their impact on health and mortality has evolved substantially since the first vaccine rollouts. Published reports from the original randomized phase 3 trials concluded that the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines could greatly reduce COVID-19 symptoms. In the interim, problems with the methods, execution, and reporting of these pivotal trials have emerged. Re-analysis of the Pfizer trial data identified statistically significant increases in serious adverse events (SAEs) in the vaccine group. Numerous SAEs were identified following the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), including death, cancer, cardiac events, and various autoimmune, hematological, reproductive, and neurological disorders. Furthermore, these products never underwent adequate safety and toxicological testing in accordance with previously established scientific standards.

Yep. They are hurting.
I had the CCP virus December 2020. Not too terrible. I never received the DNA altering medication falsely called a vaccine.

That puts you in the group of "Pure Bloods". I also didn't take the damn shot. I had the bug once and it was not that damn bad. I have had the "regular" flu many times and much worse.

Yep.
Regular flu symptoms were worse for me as well.
The biggest issue I had with the wu-flu was the erratic on/off nature of the fever the first time I had it (Delta variant) but that didn't happen the second time. The tiredness after the fact is far worse to me than the thing itself.
-
It made me sleepy. I needed the rest...it did me a favor.

Got to travel to Jacksonville, FL in the AM for the third time in a week (190 mi one way).
Bro-in-law at Mayo Neuro-ICU in critical shape fighting a fungal infection that got into his sinus cavity and went from there into his brain because his immune system is shot.... the doctors admitted it probably stemmed from the Wuhan whoopin cough.
-
Damn Fauci and all his ilk. I hate to hear that. I imagine the lawyers tied up the "vaccine" rollout in such a way that suing the bastards won't go anywhere. However, Fauci et.al. don't have immunity from the "gain of function" research they illegally funded...some State Attorney General needs to file criminal charges against them.
Keep us apprised. I'll remember you guys in my prayers.

Monday, 2/19, Miss Kitty and I both tested negative. Still have clogged ears and she still has a cough. We don’t have the same stamina but are getting there. Made 3 trips out this week including for groceries and I’m getting ready to go to the local indoor range for some aroma therapy. I’ve booked 3 tier I matches for March. Rolling-On-The-River tier IV IDPA match in Valdosta for April. And World Speed Shoot in May. Optimistic, I am.
I suppose we were lucky that it didn’t move to the bronchial area. We are current on pneumonia shots, so maybe that helped.
-
If the pneumonia shots didn't help the odds are they will one day. I need to get the 2nd shot....I'm tardy 2 years on it.
-
Oh and thankfully, I never lost my sense so smell or taste.
-
I had 2 different pneumonia shots, PNEUMOVAX 23 and the original Prevnar I think. That covers 30 different strains of viruses, more if I actually got Prevnar 13. I know I didn't get Prevnar 20 because it's been out less than a year.
Have you all heard about how the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918 was really the Fort Riley, Kansas Flu? Within the camp were thousands of horses and mules that produced a stifling nine tons of manure each month. The accepted method of disposing of the manure was to burn it, an unpleasant task made more so by the driving wind. On Saturday, March 9, 1918, a threatening black sky forecast the coming of a significant dust storm. The dust, combining with the ash of burning manure, kicked up a stinging, stinking yellow haze. The sun was said to have gone dead black in Kansas that day.
Some, looking for a point of origin of the so-called Spanish influenza that would eventually take the lives of 600,000 Americans, point to that day in Kansas. Shortly before breakfast on Monday, March 11, the first domino would fall signaling the commencement of the first wave of the 1918 influenza. Company cook Albert Gitchell reported to the camp infirmary with complaints of a “bad cold.” Right behind him came Corporal Lee W. Drake voicing similar complaints. By noon, camp surgeon Edward R. Schreiner had over 100 sick men on his hands, all apparently suffering from the same malady.
It wasn't that bad when I was there, but I can't say it was pleasant. I got there in the winter and the bus I was on had to make a detour because it couldn't make it up and over an ice covered bridge. There were ice-covered tree branches broken off all over the place too. And when summer got there it was too hot. I couldn't wait to get home where the yearly temperature extremes were less extreme.

I wish I could have lost mine for a little while.

Vaccinations are over for me…cannot see how we can trust the .gov and its agencies to guard our health again! The CDC, FDA, EDU and all the rest are as corrupt as the POS in the WH..,
-
I'm going to go with the 2nd pneumonia shot. No government immunity, long term results you can see. A methodology that has been proven...
