Title: totally out of left field... has any one bought furniture from costco?
Post by: TAB on April 07, 2024, 08:58:00 AM
I was recently informed that the Misses parents are coming for a few days the end of the month( ofc this has been planned for months, but i am finding out 3 weeks out....)

any ways i need a bedroom set, asap.( I offered to pay for a nice hotel, but you know how that goes)  Naturally my time is very limited as I am super busy at work.

costco has some decently priced sets that i can get delivered in a week( they deliver and set up ).  They look ok and are more than functional.  they would basically be disposable as when I finish the house in wyo they will not be coming with us.

I would love to send the misses out to pick them out, but knowing her she would pick a set that is 10-15k... it will be "our money" ( aka mine lol, funny how she never spends hers on stuff like that)

has any one ever bought any furniture from costco?

Haven't bought anything "big" from Costco.  But I wouldn't hesitate if that was the option given the time frame and price.

I have not myself, but we had a salesman who bought several pieces. He borrowed my pickup a couple times to take things home. These were daily use items by he and his wife, and their children.  Based on his repeated buys and volume, I would expect it is worth it.

I've never even been to a Costco, but if I do go I'm taking my GPS.  ;)

It's not that bad, the secret  is to go there just before they close
..than just like thr dmv magically  the line moves at light speed.

Honestly the only reason I have a membership is gas.  It is a roughly  $.20 cheaper per gallon.  For my old truck that is $6 saved per fill up.  I break even at 10 tanks.
It's not too bad right now I am going thru 2 tanks a month.
I just wish that had diesel at the location next to me.

Nope.  But one of my best friends swears by them.  Seems like he sells a house and furniture every 2-3 years so he should know.
