Just got my hands on a beretta 1301 LE MODEL. I had to change ffl since I moved. They made me a great deal on it so I couldn’t decline😉 it doesn’t have the choke system of the commercial models but I’m sure it will pattern well with 00. Thankfully I’ve got some time off this week so I’ll test and report.

Good deal. Wring it out and let us know.

Unfortunately for California wild 🔥 have forced me to reschedule my range trip. I got all my gear ready and Kimi packed me an amazing lunch. Love her btw🥰 hopefully next week I’ll have my test results

I think the lack of choke tubes is the main difference between the LE and the 1301 Tactical shotgun. That's the one that tempts me like no other. There's a MOD.2 now. The forend has three sections of M-Lok slots to allow ease of customization of attaching lights, lasers, and assorted doodads.

So I was finally able to hit the range Thursday. Beretta absolutely makes some of the best shotguns hands down. I fed my 1301 a mix of low brass birdshot and high brass slugs. The 00 buck patterned amazingly well out to 25 yards, the slugs hit the gong at 80 yards with ease. If I compared the recoil to my M4 the beretta has a bit more recoil but it’s lighter and more maneuverable. The 1301 is now my main home defense gun

I was looking online those things are really pricey!

What isn't these days ::) ::)

Yes the 1301 is pricey but worth every penny. At 1200$ out the door it was a great deal. I haven’t seen one for under 1500$ anywhere out here. Ive got a sling on order and I’m still shopping for a good red dot.

I was looking for a 1301 LE model and ended up looking at Tactical models on Beretta's site again. They have a 1301 Tactical Mod. 2 FDE that looks good except for the black magazine tube. Starting from $1,899.00 and $100 more for the pistol grip stocked version. Mmm, nope. I don't have an extra 2 grand lying around.

They’ve jumped in price since the mod1. I 1301 was passed up for the newer mods so boss man Tim made me a deal. Take a look at the a300 patrol. I’m probably going to get one one for Kimi, she really likes my M4

I like the looks of those, too. I like gas guns and would prefer one over a recoil-operated shotgun like the Benelli Super Black Eagle and previous models in that family. If you add lights and stuff to a gun with an inertia system, the change in the recoil impulse can cause malfunctions. If it's too heavy it doesn't recoil fast enough to work. Gas guns don't have that problem.

Inertia guns are good for field use. I have my steoger m3000 for dove and trap. I’m going to wait till the new year to get the a300.
