Title: Articles of Impeachment
Post by: PegLeg45 on June 27, 2025, 07:56:27 PM
I saw where the Hon. Idiot Al Green initiated articles of impeachment against Trump......
And 128 (-D)'s voted against it.

Maybe some of the far left insanity is splitting some of the more moderate dems off the platform......(moderate dems: is that still a thing?)

I had to look up who that idiot was. The only Al Green I knew of of is a soul singer.

Naw...they are chameleons.  They change to match whatever it takes to get votes.  When being outrageous gets them notoriety and votes that is vogue.  Voters are not perceptive and pay so little attention as to not even be able to know enough to perceive evil.  Even less so these days with the current lack of true education that was substituted with marxist (I refuse to capitalize on purpose) ideals foisted upon the people by the elites running the teacher's unions and handing out the federal dollar$.

This is the actual Article of Impeachment that failed:

http://algreen.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/algreen.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/final-draft-article-of-impeachment-2.pdf (http://algreen.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/algreen.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/final-draft-article-of-impeachment-2.pdf)

Several Left talking points in here. As I read the first, concerning the bombing of the weapons development site in Iran, I thought about the recuring thoughts in my mind: "Had President Trump consulted with Congress, or even had closed door meetings with committees, this bombing would have failed. "Loose Lips Sink Ships!" Put 100 Congress Critters in a sealed room, and 99 leaks will reach the media.

Just like many Republicans leaning on the Parliamentarian to do their dirty work so they can still claim the high ground, there are many Democrats that wanted this destruction of weapons development facilities to take place, but their political support would ditch them if they supported it.

I'm not following all the shenanigan's with NFA in the BBB, but as I see it the Constitutional justification of NFA is that it's "just" a tax measure and as such doesn't violate the 2nd amendment.  However what Parliamentarian is saying it isn't a tax measure and therefore can't be included in the budget bill.  Democrats just swing whatever way keeps them in power and re-elected.

Ms Parliamentarian: Point of Order.

The Department of Justice: Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives considers this a tax. On all of their forms, and in their printed regulations, it is referred to as a tax. It is a tax according to the Agency and has always been recognized as such within the rule and law-making process.

But it's not JUST a tax, so it gets excluded. One part of the government says it's a tax and one part says it's regulatory or whatever, and nothing gets done.

Tax or regulatory, the forms and instructions for the application all label it as a tax.

Yep. And it should be abolished, like most taxes.
