Rush mentioned this on his show today. And I have been wondering the same for a while. For me, the pick of Palin was a game-changer. I was going to vote for Barr until she was picked for VP. In essence I am voting for Palin via McCain.
As a side note: if the Republican part keeps moving to the left, I am really considering switching to the Libertarian party, though I don't agree with part of their platform about the legalization of drugs.
-Ciao!

palin was choosen stickly as a "catalyst" to get some of the "hardcore" gop members to the polls, nothing more. I still have yet to hear anything about her stance on many, things... yeah, she gave some insite into some of the "hot" issuses, but what about the ones that are not as well known, but just as important if not more so.

While I think Barr would be a great choice for President, in the reality of the election process a vote for Barr would be a vote for Obama, and that I cannot do.

What are some of the issues that you have not heard about. I agree with you to a point, but I know a lot of the time you will have a "unique" viewpoint to say the least.

She's the only way I can stomach voting for Senator McCain, especially if he proposes commie ideas like that $300 bil bailouts for those that can't pay for what they buy.

Don't be fooled by the media BS, as I have posted repeatedly, only 2% of mortgages are in foreclosure, while anothe 6% are behind on payments, the other 92% are fine.
The bailout is for the greedy bastards on Wall St. who artificially jacked up housing prices to a point where the market will no longer support them, now they don't want to face the consequences of the naturally occurring market correction and WE have to pay their multi million $ bone us es.
Remember when Neil Bush ran Silverado savings and loan into the ground ? We paid for the savings and loan mess as well, about $200 Billion.

Didn't like the S&L bailout either

I'll say it again - the sellout (I mean bailout) was in response to a BHo political diversion to over-throw our government - his October suprise (like the Bolshevicks in 1917)! It now has come to light that the Democrats took the Republicans aside between the votes & 'proved' that if they didn't pass the bailout, there would be 'blood in the streets' & the Nat'l Guard would have to be mobilized to control the revolt.
We need to vote against BHo at any cost - it is still better than voting for him for any reason. As far as voting Libertarian or any other - well that's just a a vote for BHo (sad to say, but true - we only have a two-party system even though anyone can run on any ticket - and today they don't even have to be vetted anymore - like BHo).

My vote is for Palin, unfortunately I have to do it via McCain. McCain has a history of trying to repeal the Jones Act. for those that don't know.. the Jones Act protects AMERICAN shipping companies and AMERICAN mariners. repeal that and my job will be given to some Philipino for a portion of what I make on a ship flagged in Liberia or Panama by a company from Korea or China etc... the jones act prevents foreign flagged vessels from loading and discharging in American ports, but does allow them to do either, load or discharge. in other words, he wants to put thousands of mariners and shipping companies out of work. I don't think he'd be able to do it on his own so I vote McCain/Palin. Sarah will keep him in line..
