Title: PA for McCain?
Post by: Fatman on October 21, 2008, 10:28:13 AM
Watched the news this morning. MSM news, no less... and the feeling there was the 'redistribution of wealth' issue combined with the 'they will test Obama' statement are going to swing this race big time to McCain. Scranton district is now expected to go Republican, and the long standing Paul Kanjorski (D) is expected to lose to Lou Barletta (R) handily. You may remember Barletta because of his hard stance against illegals as the mayor of Hazleton.  Seems the legal hispanic immigrants there backed him on that. Guess they didn't like their jobs and quality of life disappearing because of the large illegal presence.  ;D

That's great - I hope those that choose to vote early don't vote wrong & then change their minds - oh it's too late! I don't think early voting is a good thing, nor do I think absentee ballots are either except those that really need it - like military overseas etc. You vote on election day except rare circumstances. Things like PA coming around are just ammunition to back it up.

To add to this:

Our newest Senator Mel Martinez (DR-FLA) who voted for the bailout, is saying today that we should not give 'the keys to the White House' to Obama - he has no experience & will put our country in danger!

Unbelievable!! It's catching on.

According to the "Murtha", he should be really making his state happy, he keeps putting his foot in his mouth, since PA (according) to Murtha, are just racists and rednecks.

I can't stand a racsit, but at least the "redneck" faction is getting some national press!  Maybe that'll get our PA bretheren out to vote for McCain.   ;D

I live in PA, (lived in NJ prior) and I've heard Liberal Dems say stuff like, "You have Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Everything in between is Arkansas."

To be fair, most Dems outside the cities here are moderate-conservative to conservative, and frankly make NJ 'moderate' Republicans look like foaming Marxists. But they all back the liberal wings of the party in national elections.  I can't figure them out.

More good news, Haz.  Seems Obama's internal polls of PA leaked out. They show the Commonwealth is a 2 point race. Seems about right, given McCain's enthusiasm for campaigning here. Bet his polling shows the same...

A big PA thank you goes out to Joe the Gaffer and Mighty Mouth Murtha.  ;D
