You've got my address ... how 'bout just slipping one in the mail this morning ;)   Oh ... you can just leave my name in for the next book!

Well .......make sure your other half is prepared to talk to the wall.. eat with a person who only has the top of his head showing...and in general.. fall asleep with the bedside light on with a person who has the Night Of Thunder book in his face 24-7.

sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...  I can't complain much.. I am going to start it tonight, so he will get the same treatment.  ;)

He said the book is way past awesome.

I heard about him from MB's podcast and the 47th Samurai, but I did not pick it up.  Then I watched "Shooter" and said I need to read this guy.  I picked up three books, having faith, and I'm hooked.

I just started reading Black Light, after all this talk of Stephen Hunter I just had to pick it up when I was in Goodwill. Great place to shop if you want to try out new authors without paying $8 a book.

They ARE that good, Just wish I could find "Hot Springs" . I saw "Shooter" and liked the twist at the end, then I saw Mr. Hunter on NRA News and decided I should keep him in mind next time I was at the library. The Swagger series are REAL good  ;D

He is a happy happy camper.. LOL

I have just finished reading my 3rd book of Stephen Hunter. Man I LOVE these books.! They are the best. This guy writes in a way you find yourself right there.. breathing hard.. not moving.. feeling your finger gently and quietly squeezing the trigger.. and for the last 2 weeks. I have been in sniper mode.  8)
I even dream about sniper situations .. with me being in there someplace.. sometimes they have all kinds of other stupid things going on.. but it is a dream.. and it always makes sense  ::)  That's why they call them dreams.. ;D

I have read.. Point of Impact ( which is NOTHING like the "Shooter" movie.. Book is way better)
Night of Thunder and Black Light.
I just got home the other day from Wichita.. and bought 6 more. I am starting Dirty White Boys tonight..

These are great books.. but don't expect them to do too much for a marriage..
No talking.. No sex.. No nothing.. I do my work.. cook supper and eat with my nose in the book.  ;D ;D

But I get by with it....cause Marshal has his in one too.  :)

( I lied about the sex part)  ;)

I too, really enjoy Mr. Hunter's books. I have: Point of Impact (which has been read at least 3 times), Time To Hunt, Blacklight, and The Master Sniper. I need to get to the bookstore and pick up some others, now that I think about it.

A couple of those downloads are $23.95. Any idea what the books cost from a bookstore?

I didn't get a book, but I've got an invoice signed by M'ette in red ink  ;D

I'd head to ebay with it, but I'm not sure what it's worth while she's still breathin'.

It was different than the ones with Bob the Nailer in them.
I didn't like it as well as the  others I've read.
It was still really good, just different.

I'm getting ready to start Time To Hunt...

Will let you know..

"Time to hunt" is good, check out "Hot Springs" as well, "The Spanish Gambit" stunk, "Master Sniper was lame but it introduced one of the characters in "Havana". Have you read "Black Light"yet ?

I thought Master Sniper was good, just didn't like how it seemed to drag out in some areas. I need to get back into some good books, I have been so busy lately, I haven't had time to go pick some up. Time to hunt is very good IMO, I enjoyed it very much.

;D It limped along, I finished it which is more than I can say about "Spanish Gambit".
M'ette tell how "Second Saladin" is.
