NEARLY 50 cats have vanished from just six streets — in an area now dubbed the “Purrmuda Triangle”.

All the beloved moggies disappeared from the same area of a suburb, leaving owners heartbroken and baffled.

None of the 45 pets was ever seen again and no bodies have been found.

The mystery in leafy Woolaston, West Midlands, is centred on Meriden Avenue and its surrounding roads.

Locals fear thieves are stealing the cats to sell — and the RSPCA says it will not re-home any more in the area for fear of them meeting the same fate.

The RSPCA said it had “grave concerns” but lack of evidence made it hard for officers to investigate.

If people kept their cats in the house or on a leash they wouldn't have to worry about it. Of course cats are special and they and their owners aren't subject to the same laws dogs and their owners are.

Cats CAN be taught to walk on a leash BUT....something tells me that Jumbo is not a "cat person". ;)

Def not a cat person. I don't trust the sneaky little buggers. When I look my dog in the eyes, the lights are on and someone's home. When I look a cat in the eyes, it's like looking a snake, except a snake won't tell you to f*ck off just by the way it's looking at you. If cats are pets put them on a leash, and if they're wild animals then what are they doing in peoples houses?

Pooping...they are pooping in people's houses.

Just a tangent story since it has degraded to this.  I was visiting a friend in South Philly and used his restroom.  On the catbox with large magic marker was written, "No Bobcats".  I inquired what was ment by the signage.  He told me the last time he had a party with a few buddys etc. over there were some rather large "leavins" in the catbox.  He thought his cat may have a problem and need to see a vet.  Apparently someone had tipped too many "hazaritas" and used the wrong receptical, making it look like fluffy had a colon problem.

Today I was driving down an unfamiliar stretch of road on the far side of the county and on the side of the road was a sign that said FREE KITTEN, and the cross road was HALLOWAY. I immediately thought of Haz and M'ette. I think I've been spending too much time here lately.  :-\

Back in the 1950's we had a guy who had the best taco stand in town.  Our cat population was decreasing but those tacos were great.  No BS on this one.

Green Tabasco, while not very hot, is the greatest flavor enhancer ever created. God cooked that stuff up one day when he was playing around in the kitchen.

I like to use green Tabasco in in scrambled eggs and cheese in the microwave. I just stir it all up and nuke it. I guess I'm too lazy to make omelets most of the time. Red Tabasco makes C-rations and MREs taste good... well, um... not half bad anyway.  :)

Try "El Tapatio" hot sauce.  Not too hot and not as vinegary as Tabasco.  Great on eggs, any way you cook them, tacos and everything else.

Watch out Haz! Deepwater's invitation is a trap!

In September, despite an increasing chorus of complaints, Peruvians celebrated the annual Gastronomic Festival of the Cat in a village just south of Lima, serving a variety of feline delicacies (fried cat strips, cat stew, grilled cat with spicy huacatay).  For the most part, according to a Chicago Tribune report, the dishes are made with specially bred cats rather than street prowlers, and are consumed for their health benefits, though centuries-old tradition is the likeliest explanation.  Said one Peruvian, such cultural events "are our roots and can't be forgotten." [Chicago Tribune, 10-15-08]
