I am on the edge of ordering a Simply Rugged Long Hunter type holster for my Redhawk 45LC.
Any thoughts?

I do not own one myself, but I know several folks who swear by them. He is a member of sixgunner.com and seems like a true gentleman. I don't think you would go wrong with his holsters.

I'm one of the guys who swears by them!
I have four or five, and they are (I believe) amazingly well-designed, especially for carrying a bit heavy DA revolver!

Thanks MB. That's what I was hoping to hear. (except you just cost me $65.00 ;D)

I wanted to say a "Big Thanks" to MB for bringing this company to my attention (and the attention of others!). I had been looking for a leather crossdraw holster for my 10mm Javelina (1911) with a 7-inch barrel that wouldn't break the bank. At the Simply Rugged website, I found exactly what I wanted with no compromises! In the future, I plan to buy Simply Rugged holsters for my S&W Mountain Gun and maybe my Blackhawk.
I love hearing about great products!
Thanks again!

Bart11 welcome to the forum. Nice to see another Coloradoan here!

Haz, I have two. One a pancake for my 4 inch 44, the other a nifty sharkskin job for my Bodyguard. Love them both. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks Shooter32 for the welcome! Except for all the Californians moving here, I LOVE this state (been here for eight years now).
NOW.............
I have to re-think ALL of my holsters! I realize that it is a SIN to carry my Freedom Arms 454 in a nylon holster when hunting! It deserves some classy leather. Also, I noticed that they make holsters for the Desert Eagle (in Alaska.... Of COURSE they do!). I may need one for my DE......... and................ and.............. and.............. And here I thought my wishlist of gun stuff was under control! :o
MB's podcast is now costing me some serious money! I can't wait! ;)

I just got a Simply Rugged holster for my SP101 and it is great. I'm going to get one for my Blackhawk and one for my wife's GP100.

WOW! I just received my holster today!!! I am VERY pleased ;D with the quality of construction, design and fit with my unusual 10mm "Javelina" 1911 with 7-in barrel. The carrying options are both held to the belt tight and secure. I recommend these holsters to anyone! I definately plan to buy more and sell off my previous holsters that ride on the belt.
In short........ I LIKE IT!!!!!!!! I have to thank Mike B. for his podcast as it brought it to my attention!
