Living in a small rural town in Nebraska, most voters tend to be on the red side of the map. Here in "Tiny Town", I've not seen one McCain/Palin poster in a front yard, only one for Obama, much to my disgust in the school's superintent's yard. In the county seat I've only see about three McCain, and a half dozen Obama posters. We went to Lincoln today, the state capital, and drove alot around town, nada on the McCain posters, and only a few Obama. Makes me wonder if McCain is in real finanical trouble and doesn't have the money to close the deal...
-
I live in a small town 50 miles from Boston. I think that's all I need too say..... :(
-
I live in NC and have a hard time even buying the line that this is a swing state. There are McCain/Palin yard signs and bumperstickers everywhere. Very few Obama signs.
-
In my area which is usually heavily RED, there are lots of McCain/Palin yard signs. What really bothers me is there seems to be just as many bHo signs and the local bHo office is charging $5 for them. There does seem to be plenty of support for the local Red candidates, but I'm nervous. The guy running against my congressman is a left over 60's radical from NY by way of Philly. I listened to him and the local blue state rep canidate speak awhile ago, know your enemy. I could barely force myself to stay in the room untill I could ask a gun control question. Couldn't get a clear answer from the guy, but I would bet a paycheck he would vote for any anti gun measure. These people are frightening. By the way, according to those canidates we shouldn't invest in oil, nuclear power, or in defense, that money should be invested in the people. Also, business don't mind paying taxes.
-
they keep telling me PA is for Hobo. Don't really see it here, NE PA - even with the influx of Cidiots.
-
My neighborhood is very conservative, about every 10th house has a sign, and mostly for state and local candidates, of the presidential signs, 9 -1, Mc Cain/Palin.
-
Kansas... and at least in the SE section.. I think most are for McCain.
-
Kentucky, of course, is a very conservative state, so the majority of people support McCain. Things are probably different in Louisville and to some extent Lexington, but the rest of us seem to have our heads out of the sand. There are a few idiots (Obamaites) in my area but they are far and away out numbered. God, I love this state.

Around this part of Kansas, I see more b-ho signs than McCain's. :( Most people I have talked to say they are for McCain though. Of course this a college town and we all know the longer you are in "Higher Education", the less you know about the real world!
I'm still trying hard to convince the unbelievers!
-
All of the soccer moms here in suburbia are sporting McCain/Palin stickers on their cars. The only B-HO signs I've seen around here were at the polling place. ::)
-
Around here its mostly McCain... down town its mostly Obama... the general Sac area is about 50/50.
-
Yard signs are about even, but one local Republican has as many signs as everyone else combined.
Bumper stickers are heavily for McCain, Lots of Veteran plates around and we just had a local man killed in Afghanistan, that might sway it our way, as he seems to have been a popular guy.
Still got our 3 "peace cowards" on the square on sat morning though, God I wish I had a taser.
-
See around here we can't keep signs on the lawn... they last about 2 days before some one steals them/ mess them up... does not matter what the sign says.. ( mine said " Vote NO, for more money". )
-
One family here has had their McCain/ Palin sign stolen twice but that's the only incident I know of.
Because I don't want to be the one who gets arrested for peeing on B Ho ;D
-
Forget the politics, the election , and yard signs. I wanna know what neighborhood Tab's new avatar lives in. :o Nice!

Emporia? yeah.. I suppose any college town is more Obama.. but then again... I don't know.. there are lots of hunters in Kansas.. I really don't see many signs at all around here. I mostly have talked to people in Coffeville and Independence and
what I can gather.. they are for McCain.
I didn't know you were from Emporia...on hour from me..I used to go there to get my hair cut.. My oldest son graduated from there.

Folks in Coffeeville grew up on tales of the Dalton raid,of course they are pro 2A ;D

Here in the northwest corner of Iowa the republicans HEAVILY outweigh the demos. In fact, I think the dems in this county caucused in a phone booth last February.
BHO signs are almost non-existent. LOTS of McCain/Palin signs.
Surprisingly, most of the Obama signs are in the yards of good Catholic people. As a Catholic myself I don't see how one can reconcile following the pro-life teachings of one's faith with voting for Obama. I just can't get there from here.

is it really that shocking that some people are 1 issue voters? Gun owners would never be like that... never ;D

Yep. I like it here, even with the "college liberals". ::) I believe that here in the flyover states, even when we disagree, not very often are we all that disagreeable. Many around here are very gullible and easily fooled by liars, like b-ho, not to often disagreeable. Why is it that someone believes the lie they hear first, rrather than the truth they hear second? No matter how obvious it is.

Nice thing about being within range of Hillsboro and N. Newton is that they are pacifists ;D Mouthy, but pacifist.

I see about as many signs for BHO as for McCain, I guess thats why Fl is a swing state.

It's getting scary where I live in Michigan. Usually heavy Republican except for one long depressed community. The largest area employer and biggest appliance maker just annouced 5000 world wide layoffs including 300 locally. Probably more to come. The signs are running about 50/50 but none on my block. I'm surprised by how many new bHo signs have gone up in the last week since the layoffs were made. Our local congessman is a decendent off the founder of this appliance company and a big stock holder in the company. Incidently decades ago this company made BB guns similar to the basic Daisy and bought the Canadian Co. that made the Inglis High Power in WW2. This congessman's rival is a aging 60's radical that is gaining ground. These signs are going up in front of the big homes on the shores of Lake Michigan that are owned by the extreamly wealty in the community.

Sounds like the Benton Harbor/St Joseph area...

I get so sick of hearing we need change and every one pointing to BHO, McCain and Biden. We have the chance for real change! Three of the four are typical entrenched politicians, and Mrs. Palin is new working her way up through local government and leadership and in her first term as Gov. She has been at it in enough levels to understand the complexity and vastness that no one can truly be prepared for, but not so deep into the system to be glassy eyed with false confidence that they know all and can do all.
VOTE FOR TRUE CHANGE ... BRING IN AN UNSPOILED NEWBIE !!!
