Title: Hazcat's Dad Passed Away

I have had so many pm's ..that I thought I should post this.
Haz's dad passed away Tuesday, the 25th.
I am sure that Haz will be back into the forum after he takes some personal time away.

I just got the news. Haz, I' m sorry to hear it. It's a bridge I haven't had to cross yet. My prayers are with you and your family. You always have a word or two for everyone here and you can clearly see you have quite a few folks that share your sorrow.

Haz.......your hurt is our hurt.. I wish there was a way around it for you.. but there isn't. Take your time and know that we all are sending you our thoughts and prayers so that the hurt starts to gently ease up. I haven't dealt with the loss of my parents yet.. and I am not ready to ..but only God knows when that time comes for all of us. And unfortunately ..no one asks us if we are ready or not. :-\
I've said it before to you and I will repeat it:
Your dad is on the other side once again having the time of his life with friends and relatives who have crossed over before him. He is HOME. Our real home ....and not this temporary school campus we call earth. Home... where you can shed the weight and baggage from this lifetime and breathe once again. Where everything is perfect and safe and comfortable. You'll be there someday with him... just not now. But know he watches and keeps in touch with all you do and continues to be a part of your life....just in a different way. You have a whole huge section of family here in this forum house. And I know I can speak for everyone when I say.. You are truly special to all of Mr. Hazcat! :) And we are blessed to be able to call you friend.
Take your time......we're all here and we're not going anywhere.

Y'all,
Today was 'clean out' day (his clothes, etc.) and that helped a lot.
As was said it hits you when your last parent leaves cause you are 'alone'. Took some time to wrap my head around that (even though I'm 54 with a child of my own). Strange but true that you feel that way.
I cannot say what all of the prayers and messages have done to help. Y'all really are 'family'. My home is open to you all.

You were there, you provided, you helped, you prayed. You did the right thing and honored your father in it. Children who honor their parents are well spoken of in God's word.

Haz, You know how I feel. I didn't know your father well, but well enough to feel your loss. I also thought of posting something about this but thought that when you were ready you would let the rest of us know what's going on and how you and Chet are doing. anyway, the family sends their love and prayers, and you and I can talk in a few days... hang in there..

This was one of the first things I saw when I got home from vacation but waited a day to reply. My condolences Haz. Nothing I can say will likely help, but the pain really does lessen with time. I cried like a baby when my dad passed away. I try to remember the good times and I still miss him, but after awhile I got used to not having my hunting partner and mentor around. Hang in there buddy.
